I have attempted suicide twice as well. I knew after my second attempt I didn't want it anymore. The darkness, hopelessness, powerlessness. I was done being walked on, done complaining but doing nothing. I vowed to never attempt again. I started really working on my health and advocating for myself. Last year I met my now fiancee and we are going to be planning our wedding soon. I've never been so happy. If I hadn't survived, I wouldn't have had a chance to experience this level of joy and excitement for my future with my other half. I'm glad you are still here with us, Lizzie.

Suicide thoughts are real and nothing to joke about people, but suicide thoughts brought on by domestic violence is even more real, I am a domestic violence survivor, and the pain and trauma haunts me every day and night , Domestic is real the pain sucks you bone dry to the point you don't recognize yourself.
