Hi, I installed the plugin and everything is working well but when i try to add new stores, it is not showing up in the maps(store locator page) , can you suggest on this, Like in the video in 4.58 mins i am getting as no results found even after adding stores
How does the map look if i set my start point as United States? I don't have a physical location. The map is for all the locations that sell my products.
Hi, is it possible to change the heights/widths of the map and center it? I tried it with .store_locator_map { height: 50%; width: 50%; } in the additional CSS of my theme, but it doesn't work. I can’t find any advice in the documentation.
Yes, check Attempt to auto-locate the user. When this option is enabled the Geolocation API will try to obtain the user’s current location. If this is successful, the user’s current location is used as the start location on the map.
Great video - not sure if you can help. I see you can edit the labels as displayed on the website - can you change the type of content (I want to use the email and url categories for different info - without having to dive to deep in to the php)
It would help to show the required restrictions on the API keys. I keep getting the same error message on my Server API key. I generated it correctly using the correct IP but it won't work. Maybe because it's not updated with the new version of WP. Of course, I never heard back from the developer. DELETE THE PLUGIN.
Great video but any idea on how to fix the error message stating "You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project". I've spent over an hour trying to figure this out but in typical Google fashion, it's not intuitive. I do have billing enabled and their instructions are awful and vague. So frustrating. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! So Google changed its API policy in 2018 (after the fella made the video). Before 2018 they essentially had two types of membership - a free one and a paid one (where you could also receive costumer service). Now that has changed to a single pay-as-you-go scheme. The silver-lining is that Google provides free $200 credit each month - which amounts to about 28,000 request sufficient for most small online businesses. Now that means even though the traffic to you store locator page is below the monthly quota, and therefore won't be paying anything, Google still requires you to provide your billing information. Hope it helped even though you wrote your comment four months ago!
apparently you need a billing account? I've been thrown in circles trying to do this. The pages don't always work in the order you've shown. I've read from Google that up to 25,000 map loads per day is allowed for FREE...however whenever I try to enable my map's API it loads forever and the assumed cause is that it's looking for a billing account where it can't find one. Any ideas?
Hey! I think this may help you - developers.google.com/places/web-service/usage it says "A credit card is required for verification. We ask for your credit card purely to validate your identity. Your card will not be charged for use of the Places API for Web." So they just want to make sure that you are not the bad guy and you use their service fairly. After that you will get 150 000 requests per 24 hours and this is just a huge amount. Also, I would recommend that you read the manual for the plugin once again here wpstorelocator.co/document/configure-wp-store-locator/ to make sure that you did everything right. Hope it will help. Wish you the best.
Hi, i am facing the same issue and this plugin does not allow to enter the javascript API key that will allow me to see the map without watermarked or darken view.

You are welcome, Sir. And thank you for the comment.
Hi, could you make a 2021 new tutorial. This one doesn't work anymore.
How do you get the hours of operation and the other info to display? THANKS!
Does someone know if API key is free when you have a low traffic website?
Does it only work with stores or could I search for near BuddyPress users instead of stores?
What the faster way to get stores near them with getting name, address and phone? To add in the map setting?
is it possible to add icons next to the fields in the map pop up area?
Качественный урок. Жаль что не сразу нашел его. Автор, большое тебе спасибо!!!

Thanks for you video. I need to show URL as part of info contact in the list of store, can i do that? and how? could you tell me?
Thanks for the amazing tutorial! Is there a way for members to add their own stores, instead of you (the admin) doing it?

Yes, check Attempt to auto-locate the user.

Had difficulty selecting a starting point. You were easily able to enter a place in Florida, no autofill drop down menu appeared for me. hmmm
