I finally got up on my Jet eFoil last weekend, so exciting, not we just tune the setup for best performance! Thanks to Virus' great videos we have been able to fast track things and come up with our own design.
Ya thisis a great forum effort I watch all your DIY and will buy a kit and pay whatever....this has been an amazing learning experience...these home grown engineers outsmart us often enough that it sure af keeps me humble.
I think this is pretty bad ass. I love the machining and design. Carbon fiber is totally the way to go. You could sandwich a piece of kevlar or maybe even some innegra fiber into your impeller for a little more impact strength if you wanted. Maybe use a water cooled motor to help with the cooling. Your carbon parts will help with your tolerances during variable water temps. Pretty cool bro. Keep up the work.
You are playing with some pretty cool materials!
Great video!
My friend, how many watts is right for the motor?
Cant wait to see this!
영상 잘보고 갑니다!!!👍👍👍
How did he managed to make the engine waterproof??
We would like to know the details of the ESC MOD brand is what?
Very good!!
Que burrada! eres el amo, sobrao
How are you keeping the motor from getting wet? I am doing a similar build myself.
viton seal
Buenas tardes. Que características tiene el motor
Hello When ur engine is ready? Can we buy one? Thx
Great video, thank you. Is that a Leopard Hobby 640 KV ?
thanks 540kv
Found it :-) Many thanks Virus !
Hello, what about the motor model
The CF looks good, but not very practical. You would have saved a lot of money if the propeller core or inner material is something else like high density foam. I don’t mind the propeller geometry design, even though it’s no very efficient and effective. But the CF used on the propeller and stator is impractical. The housing for the jet looks great though if you can do some analysis on it maybe you can optimize it. I don’t think you need titanium shaft for this either high speed steel or stainless steel will do the job
There is potential. :-) There is no stabilizer in foil?
Last mod goes without stab, yes
Who’s got the time to go through all that.........
Do you work for a living?????
My goodness.......
With work and my chores.....
I can only wish I could play like that someday........
you have some skills their
Creativ AND entertaining
Awesome 3D printing and such but this tunage is unbearable to listen to? Amazing watching all this over engineering take place in time lapse! That is totally bearable! Great work!
Круто. Что получилось в итоге?

That engine is?
AMAZING
Lol the sound effects sounds like samus
I want one!!!!!!

What is the name of the song?
y a un mec qui fait des surf à Vannes et il m'a parlé c'est la même chose que tu as construit est-ce que ça serait toi
hi friend, sorry I don´t understand
Are you an engineer?
No friend
Song name?
Anyone?
it cost too much for its use.

Zero skill required to ride one of these
You are obviously a rank amateur as any mechanical engineer would never choose those materials to make the product. There are other materials that are far better suited to the job and cheaper.
I think I have never said that I am a mechanical engineer but the best foil are carbon fiber and the surfboards too, I am a lover of carbon fiber and this are prototypes of what can be a final product, if you want to contribute in something more constructive, come on!
Think of the materials that outboard motors are made from. Aluminium magnesium alloy. Plastics are possibly also ok but not carbon fibre. Carbon fibre is used when weight to strength ratio is absolutely critical such as aircraft. Consult an experianced mechanical engineer, technician or materials specialist.

Carbon fiber is a type of ¨plastic¨, I think I can built a good prototype it can lift and then I´ll probably work with more materials to optimized the system. This is only the first prototype, you will seemore videos soon, thanks.
For prototypes use whatever you are comfortable with and is cost effective. Also realise that the material of choice and design is dependent on the volumes that will be manufactured. Lower volume products use cheaper tooling and more labour per unit. High volume products use highly specialised tooling and very low labour input. A properly engineered product takes many factors into account with cost playing a big role.
