What an absolutely AMAZING (and haunting) fan song....this straight up gave me chills.
This is like the best Owl House fan song I’ve listened to. Your voice just fits perfectly, as if Hunter is reflecting on the past late at night.
This deserves so many more views , like l'm shocked this isn't more popular. It's beutifully and shows Hunters struggle and confusion so well
The tune is haunting and yet oddly calming. Love this!

I feel that, I used to have a foster family who was baptist, i was a paycheck for them. But I believed everything, till I read one verse, and asked them if they would still do it today if they could. That was was: “thou shalt not suffer a witch to live” They said yes and they anyone learning it or who likes to Read may as well be a witch too, that was a wake up call to me as I had been reading up on that stuff. It made me start asking more and more questions- and well next thing I knew I ended up getting really sick, they did nothing.. it turned out to be cancer, I found this out after I moved homes. I’m cancer free now, and even after everything they did I still love them, they where they only people who even bothered to take me in. But now.. well the scars I have from my time with them Both metaphorically and physically as well as Revelations I’ve had.. I can never go back to see them again without opening myself back up without seeing there motives, the pain they caused, and the reasons so many people fallow.
Oh man. This song hits SO hard 😭🥺 But, it suits Hunter really well and it raises some important questions for people of faith as well.
If i didnt know better i would literally just think it was a song about religious trauma. I love it so much

Holy SHIT this is good
oddly this matches up PERFECTLY with two characters in a DnD campaign I take part in. Our BBG Magnus Sorreltail, a Sorcerer turned warlock who was a holy man (Well...holy ELF but you know what I mean) who made a deal with a demon in order to kill his brother who betrayed him, and My character a Dragonborn zealot Barbarion named Ignus paladin. exiled from his original holy group for being too brutal he joined a clan of..basically viking dragonborn and met the love of his life, got possesed by a demon and forced to kill his wife, exiled again but this time branded as a murderer, now seeks redemption and the chance to find a mother for his daughter. On his adventure he actually becomes a Zealot Barbarian so...yeah kinda came full circle.

Not a silly question! It wasn't inspired by any other hymns in particular, though I did listen to some spirituals for inspiration.
I haven't got around to Owl House yet but this is incredible!
