      @@nsa4444 I know how high this level is. I know people who played lots of futures. But what I wanted to say is, that it is better when lucian starts now and not like felix at the age of 18 or 19. Because juniors are not so important. Many players have problems to get from the juniors to the men's tour, because they played too long on the juniors tour. I know that felix will make it ( and his whole community knows it too) but it just needs time.

  • @DATennis

    You should take the opportunity next off season to modify your groundstrokes a bit, the backhand is setting up to the side, there's just no great all time backhand that doesn't have a vertical racket head pointing backwards at the start of the stroke. It's why yours is a bit more "slap like" and inconsistent like Rublev orAuger Aliassime. Look for any all time great 2 handed backhand like Agassi, Djokovic, Murray, Zverev, Nalbandian and all have their rackets vertical at the start all the way to the back, fully turned not to the side, it's not just a different style, it's mechanically better because you're using gravity to accelerate and getting a more controlled shot. If you want to copy a technique look what the best at that shot do, just as if you want your forehand to be at its best you'd copy it from Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Gonzalez, Del Potro and you'll realize everyone also have their rackets vertical when they bring it back, this modern slap style stroke may look like easy power but it comes at the expense of control because timing with a slappy move is harder, so of course you'll have more variances in your performances with them.

    I grew up playing tennis in late 90's and I modeled my game after Andre Agassi, and one thing I've noticed is no one seems to have an inside out flat forehand anymore. Whenever I got an inside out forehand shortball, I was able to swing as hard as I could and smash that crap out of it usually for a winner. I get why no one has that shot though with such western grips but I miss seeing it.

    • @03cobra4
      @03cobra4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      McDonald hits everything pretty flat. Giron has that sidespin inside-out forehand that's effective.

    • @DATennis
      @DATennis ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because the reward is not that big and there's too much risk, the game rewards topspin, poly strings give the benefit of swinging as fast as you can without the ball going out, which means you can swing for huge amounts of topspin. Sure if you're feeling go for a couple of flat shots, but it's better to swing with a bit less topspin if you want but still fairly high and the ball is much more likely to go in, even when Federer 'flattened it out' or when Djokovic does if you watch those shots from court level they still have a considerable amount of topspin.
