Maths is poorly taught at schools. Children are often bored and scared of maths. Hopefully, those who set the curriculum will see this and change. Somehow I don’t think they will.

Excellent choice of words to describe the joy of mathematical inventions. Maybe by these kind of explanations the public opinion will shift away from thinking it is cool to not be able to get math, which is a serious problem.
