They yearn for Red Dead. That aside, I really like the narration he did at the end of the RP. Obviously, Aqua's graduation was still fresh on my mind since it wasn't 24 hours since that happened, but I couldn't help that what he said applies to vtubers too.
That narration reaffirms my belief in how cowardice and deception can be oversimplifying in describing masquerade and fiction. Certainly, they can be cowardice and deception, but even those show us that masquerade and fiction can further show us who we really were, are, and can be. That's why I'm really happy that VTubing has talents like Bettel, talents who do their business well but their art even better, and heck, he's not even my top favorite VTuber.
And that's how I really began looking at Bettel and Octavio as The Greatest Showmen 2.0. Also, that talk about roles in Monsieur Gavin's VTRP run ending narration especially helps my self-esteem, and one reason there is how it reminds me that even the limits of a role can be beneficial to its player. I mean, I think being whoever you want doesn't always need to be as amorphous as we tend to make it seem. Like, it's not about having all the convenience and none of the inconvenience, but about having conveniences and inconveniences you work best with. For example, some of us work best in popularity, while some of us work best in obscurity, but what matters most is that we fully feel who we really are. That's why even though I don't see myself staying in my current day job until retirement and even though how I fanboy around can have me quite tired, the good I find in the way I live pushes me to live as myself, to be my best self, more and more. And of course, if I don't believe in good, then how will I ever see it through all the ups and downs?
