I prefer these strip clean repair and upgrade video's more than the 'what's inside' ones. Seeing a transformation from dirty to clean or restored / resprayed is great to watch.

these kind of products are far better than modern boombox. Popular brands should continuously producing these kind of boombox and upgrade the capabilities and features.

A nice boombox and good work cleaning it. You should modify the cassette door, Cut out a hole in it and put lights in the compartment.
Sony... if you're gonna put a tape deck on a boom box don't try to 'hide' it with an all black door where you can't see if the tape isn't being 'eaten'. Show your tape deck pride!

I have this device too in my kitchen. It really needs an upgrade on audio amplifier and loudspeaker. It has no bass and after pressing the "mega bass" button I had to laugh loud and long. 😉

I own the very SAME UNIT and I managed to replace the main cassette belt with your help. BUT, there´s a annoying noise from what I suspect is that little plastic white thing pressing against the capstan wheel. Any ideas how can I avoid that? THANK YOU"!!!!!

Hey, I am based out of India and here the power voltage is 220V. I plugged a Sony boombox from the US here without using a step-down adapter, and not it is busted, doesn't work. Do you know what part needs to be repaired specifically for this? Your help is appreciated.
Check the fuse inside the machine. With luck it might still work when you change the fuse

Bro you should remove that sticker from the speaker the sound need travel and that sticker is blocking it
The sticker is part of the original look. I would keep if in good shape.
