I just found this !! Entranced !! I have always wanted to go to Scotland; it pulls at my heart... This was a wonderfully done video, Thank you so much for sharing it !!
thank-you! Yeah, I absolutely LOVED my time there! I want to go back to see all of the things I missed! But I was so enthralled with everything there, I'm so glad I made the choice to make these videos so I can go back and relive some of these things I got to see!
Ah this made me miss home! The old Celtic myths fascinate me, I love visiting places with so much wonder and fantasy still attached to them. The fairy glen is so beautiful, looks like something from Game of Thrones! Loved learning the old stories about these places, thanks :)
are you from Scotland? yeah the myths of these places makes it all the more facinating to me on top of how beautiful they are! For the fairy glen, I totally agree! I was half expecting Daenerys and Drogo to come flying over the hills!
I like your explanations of the old lore as it gives a greater experience when watching. I especially liked the Fairy Circle and then the lamb nursing.
Scotland is such a beautiful place and we haven't explored it yet...must do that soon! Thanks for all the interesting information, such cool myths and history! Thanks for sharing!
What a well-shot & informative video! Thanks to the information, I almost felt like watching a Rick Steves video, haha! It was very intriguing to know about these myths (who doesn't love myths?).
Wow, all of these spots are so beautiful! The Fairy Glen looks so magical, I can't believe I've never heard of it before. They definitely make you work to get the wish though haha. I've always wanted to go to Fingal's cave, what an adventure!
Sorry to burst anyones bubbles, but the true story about the stone circles and towers in the fairy glenn is: they were made by tourists and tourguides to attract attention and provide a background story for this glorious landscape. Anno 2020 (when I visited) the circle and stone towers have been removed by local farmers to make the land safe for the sheep again. Apparently tourists left pieces of cloth and coins for the fairies and this endangered the lifestock still grazing the hills. So.... no more fairytales in this fairy-like landscape. Still a marvelous place to visit though!
Oh I didn't know that! There was a tour guide there with a group when we were there, and he made it sound like it was put in by the locals years ago. He did say that the main circle was put in for the tourists, but pointed out an "older" circle off to the right, kind of on the hill that he said was legit. I do remember him saying that it was a problem with tourists leaving items for the fairies that were not friendly to the animals, so he has just just pick some blades of grass for "offerings". But they have since removed all of the circles?? That's a little sad! I'm glad I got to see it before they did!
Nomadic Buff they have indeed removed all stone “builds”. I also went to the Fairy Glen looking for old folklore, but was surprised to only find an imprint in the grass where the stones had once formed a circle and A sign that said: please do not move or stack rocks. A better informed visitor told me the reason why the stones were removed.... it still is a breathtaking place to visit though and if ever there were fairies, they would definately be hiding out here 😆.
This was a succinct and pleasant video! Just perfect for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time. Thx!

Anther epic video, lass!
thanks Stevo! High praise coming from you! Thanks for helping figure out how to make more interesting videos!
The basalt is amazing😍
Devils pulpit was my favorite spot. Fairy glen was not bad either. What was your fav spot? Loved the one shot through the tree with the lense flare!
Wow, people really were superstitious. That Devil's Pulpit one is funny...funny that no one thought to just check the rocks in the water.
right?! It sure didn't seem to take much to freak out the old superstitious people of the day :-)
The giant though
Scotland and ireland are vert similar

Those guides were absolutely messing with you
