Instantly sounded familiar, so I had a look at my collection of stock music LPs and CDs. Damn! That’s good work! Thank you! Thought it was some stock content music or something. I better change the credits. Hope «they» let me still publish my version, I only heard the tiny little snippet and extrapolated from there. 😁🤪
I can totally imagine a Houston Helicopter Tours commercial with this as the theme song, with aerial shots and a mirrored-Aviators-donning, gum-chewing, permed action girl as the pilot!
Love this! Very 80s but it doesn't feel out of place in the 20s. I can imagine listening to this back then (before I was born, haha) and daydreaming about what the 2020s would be like.
Well, as far as I'm concerned - you're a musical genius. I listen to your music when I'm on walks, when I'm playing games, and especially when I want to show people the beauty of the demoscene. You're a great musician, and never, ever forget that!
Ugh I’m sure I’ve commented this a ton on your videos previously but god damn your production skills are just out of this world. Everything sounds so lush and beautiful.
Thank you! :) Practice, practice and more practice I guess. Listen to other songs, work on recreating them bit by bit and you gain a lot of knowledge... I spent my youth covering a lot of songs from bands/artists like Mezzoforte, The Rippingtons, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and many more. Taught me more than musical theory classes ever did. :)
This is Sweet Anders Props to you once again! I remember this software back in the early 90s on a Mac - You even use a keyboard signed by the 8 Bit Guy. You breathe music life into technology that once was so popular
Fantastic work! (Although let’s face it, all your stuff is fantastic 😁) What synth was used to make that rhythmic sound at 1:47 and in the closing section at the end (sounds almost like dripping water)? I vividly remember that sound being used by Jean Michel Jarre and was very curious as to what made it 😄
Thank you, very kind words! :D The sound is the «Velo Reso1» a preset patch from the Roland MKS-50 (rack version of Alpha Juno 2). You can see it in the back passing by around the same time stamp in the video. :)
You mean the SY-99? I only have that and the TG-77 right now. The cards are the Waveblade and Datablade from www.sector101.co.uk/waveblade.html In addition it has all five of the expansion slots maxed so there is 3.5MB of sample memory plus the blade cards :)
Because I’m just playing different parts on different synths. It’s a visual thing more than anything really… the synths don’t always represent the sound of the part being played - mostly because it’s often a mix of various sounds from many synths/modules layered together. And I want to have visually striking images to create variation. :)
Awesome tunes Anders! I found your channel after watching videos by the 8bitguy. Did you make this on old synthesizer/sampler hardware, or use emulator plugins?
Thanks! It was a combination like most of my music. Mostly outboards, with one synth playing one part each. Some are multi timbral so there were a few playing multiple parts. I use drum samples from Zenhiser’s Retro Drummer sample pack and sprinkle in some ReFX Nexus 2 softsynth or romplers if you will. But mostly hardware synths yes. :)
Now do a piece called Art Expression - was a structured drawing program for Amiga AI88 compatible - and the only decent one until drawstudio came in 1994
Amazing dood. Btw do you think you could do the whole "rimmer experience" not just the song but the beginning tune as well? You could make it a 2 parter but I'd understand if you can't though.
Ah, Red Dwarf. Never saw much of that though. Do you mean the singing and dance number? Done how...? As it is or in a new style? (Hard to do those things in other styles than they’re already in usually).
@@AndersEngerJensen I always liked the start or basically the first minute before the song and dance but I could never figure out how to get the tune because of the laugh tracks and other dialog.
I think you’re missing the point here. You see, it’s not easy getting stock video and pictures of computers that are angled and placed the way you want them to… so that you can make transparent stills that can be used to fake showing the video running. I simply just get what’s available to me and I couldn’t care less about it being from this and that area. It’s more important that the picture has a certain professional quality and in this case is an old Macintosh. 🤷🏼♂️ Also: Could it be possible to run the software from 1988 on a new mac in. 1990? 🤪
@@AndersEngerJensen oh thanks By the way I am that same guy who commented on the premiered stream of the turbo knight king and queen and I like it though And also I do have a youtube channel Oh and can I use this as my intro and outro of my channel hehe

and so begins my new avenue of vinyl collection into stock music LPs. Thanks HHT and Anders!
Aside from the Adobe Illustrator 88 promo video, Heatseeker was also used in a home video trailer of Brandon Lee's Laser Mission.
Well but you have to admit: This version is waay better than the "original" :D

Attack, hold, decay, sustain, release. Put this in an envelope and mail it to me.
You rule. Thanks for this tutorial.
The visuals, the song and the edit all go so well together, love it!
Wish pop music was still like this. Great job. Please put this on iTunes.

ahh i love this this is very like the 80s music
I just love that subdued verse-like section at 0:49, and that key shift at 2:53 is outright catapultuously brilliant!
Considering i just bought an original imac g3 and it had adobe photoshop on it. This video and song suits my day very well :)
Great song and great video!!👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
Catchy tune, cool video! :D
Nice nod to "The 8-Bit Guy David Murray". Anyone catch that?
Besides the patrons list? Nope.
Yep, 1:05 Yamaha CS.
@@marcosventura8157 cool! Missed it
I used to use Adobe illustrator 88 on the Mac.
loving this!
You really took that little demo song to a whole new level. Awesome job!
I LOVE THIS!!
88 was the year I was born, Anders! I don't know how old you were at that time, but you've got the sound of that era down to a T!
Hehe, I was 11 at the time. Wishing for a Mac, but my dad got us a PC. 🤷🏼♂️😂

Ah, '88. Back in the good ol days when my 2MB sampler expansion cost me $300.
Great song (as always) :) This could've been part of the soundtrack of the 87' movie "Mannequin".
Great sound ! And Edition skills improving !! 👏👏👏 ps - the music is always the most important. Don't wast a vast amount of time editing. 😁
Thanks! 😎😁 I know, but gotta stand out in the crowd you know... and people want to be entertained. So, you know... :)
Dang this tune rocks
The intro is like “breaking news in 1993”
Underrated :)
The Happy Little Elves in Tinkly Synthy Town
Reminds me a bit of the band Propaganda :D
