I feel like there’s Nostalgia bias with some of SMG4’s old fans. I used to watch these back in the day too, but I can clearly tell that SMG4 is still SMG4.
He still makes the same content, still has the same humor, overall vibes, and even the same kinds of jokes.
Sure the content is more “clean”, but that’s the point.
Time passes, SMG4 gets more experience, technology advances, and so on.
I’m always proud of SMG4, and I don’t think Nostalgia bias should change how I view him and his authentic work.
I even felt uncomfortable with his character redesigns, but then I saw things more rationally and without bias, and I realize that SMG4 is being more authentic now.
It’s good that his new character isn’t just a reskinned Mario. ❤ It has a better design, and I shouldn’t let a brain be attached to a worse design just because “I was used to it.”
Edit: That’s even the case with some Homophobes and Racists, they were opposed to ideas mostly because they weren’t “used to them”, in an illogical way.
And with how historically bad and unsuccessful that way of thinking was, I’d obviously not apply it to SMG4 and his new ways of making videos either. 😊💙

Man these videos are still golden, I know the change was maybe for the better, but the new videos are pretty much just sfm now, kind of missing the old charm of these. Or maybe its just nostalgia that makes these more appealing to me.
