Great comparison. I have the VideoMic GO II, and it's really good. It also has two shock absorbing mounts for the mic, so it eliminates the floppy mic issue. I do like the new mount design for the VideoMicro II. Rode always makes good mics, so I would be happy with almost any Rode mic.
Big negativ point is that it just got 110db spl instead of 140db on the first gen. That reflect in heavy distortion in windy conditions and also useless for recording loud car audio or drums
the old version of the videomicro is much better, especially outdoors and in windy conditions, I just returned it on Amazon and I'm keeping the old version

What were the gain settings between the Micro and the Go? Does the Go fit into the Micro mount?
