    I have the DTSC 400 and RTSC 400 and I love them. The edge sander using the ETSC 125 will be the next sander I buy. I do a lot of 3/4 inch material edge sanding and on a thin edge rounding the edge is a bigger challenge.

    It's a bloody good idea to be fair. One of those that makes you wonder why we're only seeing something like it now.

    Also you can buy a 240 volt plug in cord for these festool cordless sanders so you get the best of both worlds.

    Neat guide idea, but I don’t see the point of cordless sanders myself, I always have my vac connected to a sander, so the power cable is always right there to plug in...

      If you’re just working onward the collection system on the bill in little bag is absolutely amazing you do not need a card or a black hose

    you are right that edge sanding is a difficult thing , I find since getting the Mirka deros sander it's now easy, because of the low center of gravity, sure a fancy dedicated tool would be nice ...

    would be awesome if they sold the 90 degree attachment for the ETS 150 Sanders. I really don't want to have to buy all the Sandpaper for a 150mm and a 125mm Sander.

    Looks very useful, but as always with festool I shudder to think what the cost will be.

    • @ThekiBoran
      @ThekiBoran 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks like $99 for the angle attachment and if you don't have the etc 125 another $205. I have the ets ec 150 which is $525, I was guessing $200 for the angle attachment and $400 for the sander. Wrong. $305 plus tax in the US gets the sander and angle attachment. I might get out the cc cuz this is the shiznit.

    Hah, I knew it! Nice man, wanted to see a video on this machine since I was thinking of getting one... guess I'm getting one :D. Looking for a random orbit sander aswell, do you know what the difference is between the rotex that you have and a festool ets 150/3 and 150/5?

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rotax is a good all-rounder if you going to get one Sunday get that 150 I have is an air one and I use it for final light finish and is much easier in the hand to control

    • @zacharydixon631
      @zacharydixon631 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Old reply but 3mm vs 5mm sanding stroke. 3mm is a smaller scratch pattern for more of a finish sanding vs slightly heavier material removal with the 5mm.

    So I guess if we already have the sanders we can buy it as an accessory.
    Get the battery with the plug in option to run directly off mains if using extractor.
    Is your extractor got a boom arm or just a wall mounted arm.

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will get the mains plug , it’s my own boom I am testing it at the moment, it will be for sale very soon !!:)

    May be cordless, but you still have a hose connected.

    • @ManorWood
      @ManorWood  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I said in the video I’m simply connected in the hose because I’m doing resin and I do not wanna block a nice little bag it comes with if you’re working on would you do not need a hose the sawdust does not stick or block the bag

  • @Robert-oe7uh
    @Robert-oe7uh 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I mean it's not a bad tool but it's a Festool and we already know the price is going to be outrageous. Sure it's gong to be easier but I doubt it's worth it. Just take a few extra minutes out of your work flow to ensure your sander is even on the edges. I mean you have a wide belt sander and probably drive a Bentley so maybe you have a different perspective :)
