brilliant.... not too much information...great speed...not too fast or slow....very handy little drill thing to unscrew screws.....the organ's in great condition....off to watch part 1 now. And many many thanks .
LOL... thanx man, glad you're enjoying it... that is some antique dust, think I should collect it and keep it in a bottle. :-) Taking the family camping again next week, but I'll get back to work real soon...
Can't resist recalling you disassembly of o mortise lock when you were 5. .. Bugger putting it back together again! Lmao.. You've come a way since then with curiosity still intact.
Just discovered your channel, Macon. Thank god, because I am repairing an organ similar to yours (for a client!) and don’t want to screw it up. Lol. Must ask: why don’t you label each part you remove/detach? I am afraid I won’t be able to get it back together correctly. Watched #1 and #2, and am progressing at the same pace. You are a steady, informative and reassuring voice as I make my way through this project. Thank you!
Thanx man... glad you're finding my videos helpful... I didn't feel it necessary to label all the parts as I had video footage of all the disassembly as well as a lot of photos... when I got deeper into the action I did a lot more labelling and organising of the smaller parts, as you'll see in upcoming episodes of the series... in hindsight, I could have done a better job with that... LOL
I see there's 16 of these 'episodes' in total. I wonder if there's one where you reflect on what you've learned and can no say how it could have been done easier?

Absolutely loving this Macon. I didn't realise there was that much dust in the world!

Yeah... the taking apart is easy... lets hope I've learnt to follow through since then... :-)
Love the vid
Terrifying and exhilarating! Going to send you some very old archive notes I found.
Thanx...
The top is a big harmonica basically.
