OK just posted this to my Facebook page and gave him a challenge to sit back with a cuppa coffee listen and escape 2023 back to the 1980s. This is a fantastic video. Keep up the good work again.
NOSTALGIA!!! Theme tunes that I thought were awesome that didn't get mentioned, Moonlighting which I absolutely loved as a kid, and although they didn't have lyrics I also loved the theme tunes for Knight Rider, Airwolf and The A-team!!
I generally prefer theme songs without lyrics such as Miami Vice, Magnum PI, and Dallas. However if we are going with lyrics I love Golden Girls and Perfect Strangers
someone mentioned it already lol but i really liked theme song for The Fall Guy... i am not completely sure but i have always believed it was First presented by the original artist, but very soon after show got going it was Lee Majors singing it ... very catchy tune, easy lyrics and a fun show... season 1 is streaming on Prime... but i cant find anything beyond that even on DVD :(. would love to find it some day i miss the hijinks and the storylines
My favourite 80's tv theme is Rescue 911's theme. There's no lyrics and it's only 54 seconds long but it perfectly conveys the frantic nature of an emergency situation which combines perfectly with the pretitle disclaimer read by show host William Shatner informing the audience that all the calls heard are real and that the people involved in the recreations are the people who made those calls whenever possible.
And don't forget the Greatest Pro Wrestler during the later half of the 1980s as in when they started having Wrestlers come out to Songs only 1 MAN REFUSED to have INTRO MUSIC and that was ANDRE THE GIANT as in his Theme Song was hearing the FANS in the Crowds more so!
when I started watching and paying attention to Love Boat, I thought they were saying Captain Stupid I remember asking how come they're calling the captain stupid, he seems like a good guy? It wasn't till a little later when I found out they were saying Stubing.
speaking of 80’s themes, and joker’s wild, in the game show department, that’s a good 80’s theme, although it originally started in the early 70’s, but it also had another run which was about 1978 or 1979, to 1986.
The SitCom "Married with Children," was supposed to be a show about a dysfunctional family. However, though that was the theme, the family is always in the Living Room area, showing family.
Course, the least liked later Dukes episodes were the ones with cousins Coy and Vance. And, All I Know was also the closing song of my high school senior year variety show in 1998.
Robin Thicke sounds like Alan Thicke. I love watching Love Boat returns you’re nuts! Was that a cover? That sounds like the real Frank to me! Molly Ringwald says Nancy McKean stole her role.
What about The Unknown Stuntman, from the Fallguy and The Moment I loved Forever, from Beauty and the Beast. Swinging on a Star from Out of this World? Have you done a video on great 80's Cartoon themes? Like Run with Us from the Raccoons ?
@@melissacooper8724 well I woulda picked Myra Bootrouse Bootrouse Bunkerhouser over Laura anyday heck even Max as Laura was way to stuck up as both Stefan & Steve were fools! As it was more so the same person as I am surprised that Stefan didn't die cause he was a CLONE!
Bay watch theme song 1989 -1990's by peter cetera (sung karate kid 2 ) and start david hasselhoff change image career knight rider to mitch lifegaurd & career blond bombshell pamela anderson & aquaman jason mamoa ❤
I loved watching on Friday nights The Dukes Of Hazzard. I was only 6 1/2 years old at the time when the TV show premiered on CBS. Back before the Woke Ideology crept into our lives changing view points on things. The Dukes Of Hazzard was a family wholesome show that brought the family together to be entertained for an hour. Plus, after The Dukes Of Hazzard the adults could watch Dallas and Falcon Crest. The show within a few years would be shown in reruns up until President Obama made a big deal in 2015 about the Rebel flag. That is when you did not see The Dukes Of Hazzard no longer shown anywhere on TV.
It is still shown on certain streaming services. Right now, AppleTV owns the rights and is streaming it. It has never stopped streaming somewhere. It is all on who owns the rights at the moment. It has nothing to do with the flag.
I loved Three’s Company. Probably my favorite show as a kid. Theme song too. John Ritter was incredible.
Come and knock on our door. We've been waiting for you. Where the kisses are hers and hers and his. Three's Company too.
Loved the greatest American hero
The Greatest American Hero TV theme song sung by Joey Scarbury, was a top 40 hit song.
Perfect Strangers has one of my all time favorite theme songs
Standing taaaaaaaall
Two good theme songs, The Fall Guy and Hardcastle and McCormick. Amusingly also Darkwing Duck.
Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories of the shows.
😊 alot of good memories from the 1980s
'Gimme A Break' theme was one of my favorites

Wow I definitely from 80s my eyes are watery
This kind of video is perfect for no voice over. People want to hear the nostalgia, not commentary.
Alan Thicke not only co-wrote the "Diff'rent Strokes" theme, that's him SINGING it as well.
Did not know this. Thank you.
Wow. Really. Crazy.
You can HEAR HIM.
@@maundamartin59 Well yes season 8 Thicke sings the theme solo!🤗🧑🎤🙏👍
NOSTALGIA!!! Theme tunes that I thought were awesome that didn't get mentioned, Moonlighting which I absolutely loved as a kid, and although they didn't have lyrics I also loved the theme tunes for Knight Rider, Airwolf and The A-team!!
The absolute most perfect TV song was 'Hill Street Blues'. After 42 years, I doubt anyone will change my mind.
It has no lyrics.
I cannot believe you forgot the epic sound of the horn that the General Lee made in Dukes Of Hazzard
Maybe TH-cam wouldn't allow them to play the horn from the General Lee.
He didn't forget to say how problematic the confederate flag is tho. You just know he's a leftist POS.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful video I remember watching these show as kid and as adults love all the tv themes song
I think of George's answer machine message when I hear Greatest American Hero theme song 😁
I had it for a while
lot of great memories
I generally prefer theme songs without lyrics such as Miami Vice, Magnum PI, and Dallas. However if we are going with lyrics I love Golden Girls and Perfect Strangers
Dukes was a good show
Totally classic
I loved the songs of Who's the Boss and Just the Ten of Us!!!
Just awesome
All these shows was great! Esp the love boat
Super thanks!
AWE THE 80'S MISS IT!!!

I don't know if instrumental tv theme songs should have been included like from Miami Vice, Knight Rider and most of Aaron Spelling's shows
Well most of Aaron's Shows were after 1990 as he didn't have but like 3-5 during the 1980s!
dukes of hazard is my favorite and it came out like 20+ years before I was born
Check out that list of Love Boat guest stars at 10:00. Decent list of talent 👍👍👍👍
when I started watching and paying attention to Love Boat, I thought they were saying Captain Stupid I remember asking how come they're calling the captain stupid, he seems like a good guy? It wasn't till a little later when I found out they were saying Stubing.
Hogan Family Theme, sung by Roberta Flack!
Cool, I know all these songs 😀 shows.

Alan Thicke was a talent agent from Canada and loved playing hockey tell that to Simon Colwell about that .
Air Wolf, A-Team, Knight Rider, so many more, Miami Vice...
Alan Thicke wrote the Wheel of Fortune theme used 1975-1982. The Chuck Woolery years and 1st Pat Sajak season; before syndication.
Family Ties theme was far better than Growing Pains
The SitCom "Married with Children," was supposed to be a show about a dysfunctional family. However, though that was the theme, the family is always in the Living Room area, showing family.
Love it
Without lyrics:
-Dallas
-Knots Landing
-Simon & Simon
With lyrics:
-Perfect Strangers
-Growing Pains
-Greatest American Hero!
I saw Robin Thicke at the theme park two days ago and all I thought of was different strokes and facts of life.
Did I do that? 😂
Look what-chew did!
missed welcome back kotter, best theme song.
Course, the least liked later Dukes episodes were the ones with cousins Coy and Vance. And, All I Know was also the closing song of my high school senior year variety show in 1998.
Love wins? Then The Love Boat was definitely fiction and fantasy. 😄
I Love😗😗😘😗
Robin Thicke sounds like Alan Thicke. I love watching Love Boat returns you’re nuts! Was that a cover? That sounds like the real Frank to me! Molly Ringwald says Nancy McKean stole her role.
The Bundys theme wasnt a cover of Frank, they used his actual recording. Similar to Wonder Years with Joe Cocker
I’m a huge DiCaprio fan

The 1st season of family matters (1989) used a Louie Armstrong song not the one you discussed in this video.
I love urkel ans stephan
Me too! I wish I would've married him since Laura turned him down for Steve!
@SchofieldAJ Maybe Stefan did die after Laura picked Steve over him! We never see or hear from him afterwards!
There are some people who think the flag on the general Lee is problematic, but we just have to pity those people, and look past them.
Married with Children is not a cover of Frank Sinatra, that is actually Frank Sinatra singing it.
We had the best shows in the 80s.
How many heard the Cheers theme song and said NORM? lol
Too bad judy vanished from family matters, what happened???😜😜😜😜
She went upstairs 😂
The urban legend was that Judy went upstairs and never came down. In reality, she was last seen going into the house after her grandmother's wedding.
Family Matters
Rockford Files, Miami Vice, Hawaii 5-0
For the Greatest American hero theme: The one you have playing is NOT the original, it's a cover.
What's with the cover for The Greatest American Hero? Where was Joey Scarbury?
Way to make a video about great shows and theme but find a way to bash them all
Small wonder like it
Bay watch theme song 1989 -1990's by peter cetera (sung karate kid 2 ) and start david hasselhoff change image career knight rider to mitch lifegaurd & career blond bombshell pamela anderson & aquaman jason mamoa ❤
Is this purely voiced themes
Could have played the correct verison of greatest american hero theme by mike post
Joey Scarbury was the artist on that one
I can't believe I liked Perfect Strangers. Religiously. I wanted to marry Larry🤢
Who sang that awful rendition of Believe it or Not? That wasn't Joey Scarbury.
Unfortunately at the time, several great songs were sung rather Wimpily. Including the film version of Buck Rogers.
It was William Katt himself who sang it in the show.
Love and Marriage was the first song I sang pretty much line for line, pretty good for a 4 year old
what no chips theme song
Family Matters was hardly an 80s sitcom.
True. It premired in 1989, but it was more into the 1990s.
@@melissacooper8724 Late 1989 and lasted to 1998. It wasn’t really 80s at all.
Full House
Baywatch
Roseanne
GAH is NOT Joey Scarbarry

This better have Quantum Leap.. An the confederate flag made that car snowflakes be dammned
I was obsessed with the car from Dukes Of Hazzard when I was a kid, and also The A-team van!!
The Love Boat is boring??? Really? Your videos are boring!!!
Fall guy
Are you under 20 ?
the talking over the theme songs ruins this
I made it about 30 seconds in. I could've done without the commentary.
A now "problematic" confederate flag ... you know the guy running the grift is a bottom.
