    Oh man, I share your pain. Been a battle on my rooftop garden this season with the roof rats. Ate all my Smith and I had one Genovesse Nero AF that they left on the tree ripen up beautifully, only for me to wait one more day and have a big bite taken out of it. Almost ate the other half but decided against it like you! I have been wrapping mine in organza bags and so far so good...

      We’re in this together, my friend! I honestly believe that waiting for the perfect ripeness is worth the risk of getting eaten by a critter. Sometimes it just doesn’t go our way :( but I think you’re right, organza bags should definitely help.

    I probably would've eaten the half that appeared unaffected by the varmint. Just wash it before you cut it in half. It probably wouldn't harm you anymore than the pesticides on our food we eat.

      I was definitely debating about it and I’m sure it would’ve been okay. I’ll probably eat the unaffected half if it happens again :)

    what climate zone/location are you in?
