on a lighter note, tom warrior is a music genius when it comes to writing heavy music & hes the most honest & sincere person in metal, there needs to be more guys like him in metal
@cromlek the problem is: this documentary was made for swiss television, and they didn't think of making german subs either, so even a lot of the german viewers can't understand it completely ;-)
Hey! Thanks for the upload but we are many that don't understand the language. Could you please just turn on the auto-translate so the A.I. generator can do that ?
4:42 Thomas Fischer "The hell, as I always call it, when I talk about "my youth", I didnt wanna have absolutely, nothing to do with it, anymore, neither think about it, nor talk about it. My painful youth was the reason Hellhammer existed in the first place, and I didnt/could talk about Hellhammer at all"
5:00 And because the circumstances of my youth are the direct reason why HELLHAMMER was coming into existence, I, unluckily, ignored HELLHAMMER for a very long time. 5:26 I grew up in a very small town and - I have to say this - it was a very bad place where the people hated and segregated me. And I was looking for "shelter" in the music. 10 years before the black metal scene actually existed, we were really not fitting in any scheme.
5:27 Thomas Fischer, "I grew up in a fucking hicktown in Switzerland, and I have to say this with disgust, were people hated me, shunned me, and I looked to music for escape, 10 years Before the Black Metal scene, even existed, our music, was never what popular music was like.
problem with tom gabriel is he never been able keep the same guys with him. very hard do anything when your team keeps changing. same in sports. need stability and keep some good balance and teamplay.
4:00, Martin Stricker, "it was clear, and important that our history wasnt beeing told as a tradegy, and that we could take the rudder, and not like hundreds of band or thousands of artists copy themselfs in so called re-unions/re-vivals, thats what we never wanted to do. When we started CF, Tom never wanted to have anything to do with Hellhammer, he thought it was all shit and childish, and he was ashamed about Hellhammer".
fisher was ashamed about hellhammer, because he thought it was some silly project in puberty he was angry everyday about himself (because of puberty) and tried to get his anger into/out in musical ways hope i could help a lil greetings from bavaria
I'm swiss I understand what they are saying, and it's heavy stuff, I wish I could ad subtitles, somehow. Tom is talking about how he grew up in a fucked up "hick town" in Switzerland, he was never accepted, even shunned by the people there. It was then, when he developed a tremendous hate for people, etc etc.... good stuff.
4:20 But because of that point we had to be sure why we want to do it, and why we did it earlier. Tom, for example, at the time we started to make music, didn't want to have anything to do with HELLHAMMER. He thought it was all shit and childish nonsense and he said he was ashamed about all of it. 4:40 This... Hell... as I like to call it - It's the word I always use when talking about my childhood - I didn't want to deal with it anymore. I didn't want to think or talk about it.
Switzerland is great. I am german, i met a couple of guys from switzerland at festivals. and that guys from switzerland i met, were always great guys. but hell, YOUR GERMAN IS HARD TO CATCH! especially in this video. (yes i know there are four languages being spoken in Switzerland)
@GillesGerais: Haha, I am from Germany and don't understand a single word like you ! This is Swiss German. :-) Sounds as funny as Norwegian for me, so... it totally fits to a TRUE black metal band ! :-)

on a lighter note, tom warrior is a music genius when it comes to writing heavy music & hes the most honest & sincere person in metal, there needs to be more guys like him in metal

@cromlek the problem is: this documentary was made for swiss television, and they didn't think of making german subs either, so even a lot of the german viewers can't understand it completely ;-)

Awesome. Hail Celtic Frost.
I live the way she sounds at the 1:20 mark describing CF. You can see how the German language is made for metal. Love it.
'live'
I love CF!!!!!

@pamaspamas one of the first black, death and thrash metal bands.
what´s the first song?
So I guess this answers that famous question What Ever Happened To Celtic Frost.
Like him or not ....Sesa was a fn beast on the drums
*I have NEVER NEVER NEVER seen Tom "Warrior"😅 without the cap in the last 20 years! Does he sleep with it, too?!?*
Be glad he only wears a black beanie. Back in the 80s he would not get rid of his black leather jacket. Even in deepest summer. 😊
fisher was ashamed about hellhammer, because he thought it was some silly project in puberty
he was angry everyday about himself (because of puberty) and tried to get his anger into/out in musical ways
hope i could help a lil greetings from bavaria
please put the other parts!
Rest habe ich natürlich auch noch! Habe aber gerade viel anderes zu tun! Irgendwann demnächst!
I'm swiss I understand what they are saying, and it's heavy stuff, I wish I could ad subtitles, somehow.

@jesuskitchen actually, she is swiss, as is Celtic Frost ;-)

@givemeajackson i'm sorry if it was ignorant man, it seems like a good documentary, i wish i could watch
What language is Tom G. Warrior speaking? It doesn't quite sound like German. Sounds almost like Dutch.

@Gentelman909 Kein Problem ;)
Pretty interesting. Alas is that Swiss-language totally incomprehensible for me...

ENGLISH!!! FAAAKKKKKK
Yeah, but the autotranslate is hysterical!
wie heißt das lied bei 2:53 ?
"into the crypts of rays" von der ersten Platte
2006/2007 Celtic Frost is boring, the slow tempos and down tuned classics were a real disappointment. Why? Why? Why?
Hail Tom G W. C..F!!!!
ok, i translate for you. at 0:50 he say:
"that's heavy stuff" lol
sorry that's to much to translate and my english to bad to do this..
Yeah, she must a least 30. Ancient!
Tom warner is awsome
@metalman664 I'm German and only understand half of it :-D
Translation Please!
☠️☠️☠️🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐
Hellhammer
@pamaspamas what?
@mikemunyon1 ok. accepted.
@autoskp
Is this called Alemannisch? Sounds like German with "Halskrankheit".
