I was there. I've seen them roughly 100 times. This show was something like high 80's to mid 90's for me. As far as s i know, this was the first time they played Radio City since the Signals tour. For the past 2 or 3 weeks, i've been trying to watch this on my train commute to work, but i can't make it more than about 1 minute without breaking into tears, and having to cut it off. It's sunday night now, and its time to relive the moment. Thank you so much for posting this.

Its just amazing all the sounds that come out of this 3 piece band. Id almost swear its 2 drummers sometimes. Neil is just an animal on the drum kit and Geddy and Alex are just as good on their instruments.

Mathias Mercado Because Lerxst plays A LOT and RUSH, being the uber nerds about rehearsals, Reherse the whole show for weeks before hitting the road. Al just makes it look effortless, because he's that good!
Neil wrote the lyrics to about 98% of all Rush songs, but he didn’t write all of the songs. Most of Rush’s music is credited to Lee and Lifeson. They made a great team though with Geddy and Lifeson writing all of those complex musical pieces, Neil’s unique lyrical style was just the cherry on top. The earlier Rush tunes, where Geddy or Alex wrote lyrics were not at all in Neil’s league. The subject matter was far more shallow and the rhythmic structure not as poetic. Lee and Lifeson said they were not really interested in writing lyrics, so they gladly turned that job over to Neil.
I was a Rush fan the day a classmate brought in All The World's A Stage to music class long ago in a galaxy far away. I hope they put on concerts in heaven when I get my turn to go!!!

I have so many favorites from RUSH but I agree that SUBDIVISIONS is such a profound and important subject to write about. It hits me on so many different levels! I was at Radio City Music Hall at that Concert back in 83'. I can't say enough of RUSH....

They BLEW the ROOF off with that opening medley, once everyone started figuring out they were going in the order of their first 7 albums. This is still simply the greatest opening of a concert I have EVER witnessed.
I am good friends with Geddy. I just found this video and Garry ( Geddy ) sees this he won't be happy. This is copyright infringement. Last time I saw Garry we were talking about how any bands trying to make music a career is going to have a hard time making it because of those who download the music freely shows disrespect in that the bands are losing their cut from music sales. Only way to make money is by touring but by the time they pay stage hands, their their flight and their manager it's difficult to make a living.

Of all the numerous Rush Concerts I saw in my lifetime, this was easily the best show I ever saw in person. It was a magical night. Great set list, band was tight as I ever heard them and really pumped that night, fans were LOUD for 3 hours, and RCMH has the best acoustics of any venue for a concert. That I had 2nd row seats on Alex's side didn't hurt either.
Thanks for the post. This was a great tour, and they ended on a high note after Clockwork Angels. . Playing for 2 1/2 hours + till the end. The Canadians set the bar.

Some of the other videos seem like were taken by someone from Timbuktu who had never heard of Rush before.... I mean come on... half the time they only show close up of Geddy's mouth! even when he or Alex or Neil is tearing it up...or when the stage is flooded with lasers and other lights. (they did the same crap with pink Floyd's pulse concert, gee I wished they let me direct...)... Very good sight and sound indeed. Many thanks again... RUSH 4ever...
I was fortunate enough to be at both shows! I remember a swell of emotion during the Overture. The songs, the photos, the passage of time. I was blown away by the lighting rig during "Between the Wheels." Last memory.... on the second night, Geddy sang like a pirate during "Temples of Syrinx," as in "Arr...we be the pirates of the Temples..." Someone at the soundboard was even waving a skull and crossbones flag. Good times!
SIMPLY THE BEST!!! As the time goes by they play better! I'm praying for a new tour and come to South America. It will be a dream to go with my children!!! One more tour! Pleaseeeeeeee!
There is no question in my mind that not only Rush music is timeless but each song has its own identity and melodic structure. Besides Neil's influential lyrics, the music flows in such a way that it was created into a mystical and huge sonic wave. There will be only one RUSH and Neil, Geddy and Alex left it on earth for generations to come.

I think I gave Dream Theater an honest shot at interesting me but, meh. I just don't see the point in anything they do. It's too self indulgent for me. RUSH never forgets it's about the variety of music, the fans, the excitement and the happiness they express on stage.
What an amazing re-edition I really didn't think anyone could pull it off But yeah I'm listening with Bluetooth headphones and I'm saying to myself God this engineer who readjusted all the equalization levels he really knew what he was doing No doubt this has become my favorite live Rush video ever
Every recording from this tour reveals the Holy Trinity in peak form. We don't have as many or as high quality videos from all other eras, so it is impossible to be sure, but this must have been close to their very best.
When you've played at RCMH in NYC, you have earned your Brownie Points. Its a hallowed destination IMHO. A historically magnificent venue. And with a" theatrical" sound quality matched by few old halls. This was truly great live Rush. Great post.

I have seen Rush over a dozen times throughout the years and they are always AWESOME!!!!! So much music for just 3 dudes!!! Can't wait to see them again

R.I.P. Neil. You have left us with your amazing works of drumming and lyrics and class that not too many other artists can claim. Rush is the ROLEX WATCH of rock music, precision, timing and perpetual movement. No other band with three members, that sound like 5 or 6 can replicate this. Sorry to all of you American so called rock bands that think you are great. Well, you're not great. You are all a bunch of sell-outs with no back bone and integrity . RUSH ARE THE REAL DEAL. THE TRUE ROCK MASTERS . IF YOU LISTEN YOU WILL GET IT!
I saw this show at Radio City Music Hall, up to this point i had seen Rush many times before, this show my favorite show ive ever seen them do. They were absolutely incredible.

Hey thanks a lot for sharing. This video was taken by someone who knew something about Rush. and I am glad. Some of the other videos seem like were taken by someone from Timbuktu who had never heard of Rush before.... I mean come on... half the time they only show close up of Geddy's mouth! even when he or Alex or Neil is tearing it up...or when the stage is flooded with lasers and other lights. (they did the same crap with pink Floyd's pulse concert, gee I wished they let me direct...)...

I was fortunate enough to be at both shows! I remember a swell of emotion during the Overture. The songs, the photos, the passage of time. I was blown away by the lighting rig during "Between the Wheels." Last memory.... on the second night, Geddy sang like a pirate during "Temples of Syrinx," as in "Arr...we be the pirates of the Temples..." Someone at the soundboard was even waving a skull and crossbones flag. Good times!
I'm so proud of having seen this awesome, marvelous, wonderful, delightful band twice.
This was definitely one of the top 3 concerts I ever attended. I great seats 💺 and the acoustics were phenomenal 🥁🎸🎤🎼💗💗

There is no question in my mind that not only Rush music is timeless but each song has its own identity and melodic structure. Besides Neil's influential lyrics, the music flows in such a way that it was created into a mystical and huge sonic wave. There will be only one RUSH and Neil, Geddy and Alex left it on earth for generations to come.

Eventhough they are 3 piece but it sounds like many instruments they played!!! Rush is My favorite band before Dream Theater ☺☺☺
I think I gave Dream Theater an honest shot at interesting me but, meh. I just don't see the point in anything they do. It's too self indulgent for me. RUSH never forgets it's about the variety of music, the fans, the excitement and the happiness they express on stage.
Still hurts....will for a long time! Master of precision.

No doubt this has become my favorite live Rush video ever
Every recording from this tour reveals the Holy Trinity in peak form. We don't have as many or as high quality videos from all other eras, so it is impossible to be sure, but this must have been close to their very best.
What band can play their tunes with or without the vocals and the song is still just as amazing.
I still get tears when I watch some of the older videos. RIP MR.PEART
When you've played at RCMH in NYC, you have earned your Brownie Points.
Its a hallowed destination IMHO.
A historically magnificent venue. And with a" theatrical" sound quality matched by few old halls.
