- This is a collection of four different CBS FOX Video openings, all in color (there are variants of CBS FOX logos in black and white).
The first is the "Stacking Lines" variant, sourced from a CED VideoDisc copy of "The Dutchess and the Dirtwater Fox."
The second is the "Cutting Lines" variant, sourced from a LaserDisc copy of "Max Dugan Returns."
The third is the "Dark Granite" variant, sourced from a LaserDisc copy of "The Living Daylights."
The fourth is the widescreen special edition version of the "Dark Granite" variant with a Stereo byline, sourced from a LaserDisc copy of "Zardoz."
The fifth is another widescreen special edition version of the "Dark Granite" variant with a Dolby Surround byline, sourced from a LaserDisc copy of "Die Hard 2."
I really like these kinds of intros, in my opinion, these are MUCH better than WB intros.
This brings so many good memories!
0:33-0:38 me too.
The CBS-Fox logos were amongst my favorite opening logos.
I loved the CBS Fox Video logos. I forgot how many videos I watched with that logo at the start.
Greatest music ever! Thanks for uploading!
I remember the widescreen version vaguely, having seen it only when they had the original Star Wars Trilogy done that way for the first time.
0:58 that’s what I liked about widescreen to watch it on 📼, 📀, and blu ray disc.
'National Pride" is first used in the movie dedicated to Bruce Lee called "Fist of fear, Touch of death".
Some of the later openings also had the "Chace Surround Stereo" logo come up at the end- these were mostly stereo remixes of older films.
I love that fanfare. All sound really great on your video~
0:25 Probably the most Epic TM Reveal Ever lol! My Mom Agrees, too!
This brings back memories of the times the living room became the man cave late Friday nights.
0:32 I saw this on the 3 short Films of Wallace & Gromit. Then Furngully 2: The Magical Rescue & Journey Home: The Animals of Farthing wood.
Ah yes just as I remember every time before I watched Star Wars original trilogy
+Adam Hall makes sense, seeing how Star Wars belongs in Fox's movie history.
I saw a image of Surround stereo widescreen but it’s actually rare, SO RARE
The Black Stallion Returns was the best movie of CBS Fox I've seen!
Sort of. Just remembered the Black Stallion since it was a Classic for sure.
Something tells me that the 1984-1999 CBS/Fox Logo's opening reminded me of the going through the Death Star trench in Star Wars...
These logos are my favorite...except for the silent one..
Thats some awesome quality. Must be that LaserDisc quality.
anyway one of my favourite logos ever the music just makes the logo seem very important just like another of my favourite the cinergi logo
I've seen these CBS FOX intros on
many VHS tapes they put out.
I love the 1983 one.
Watcher3223 Your Videos is Awesomeness I Love it 100,001% Lovely Lovely
Family Home Entertainment 1985-1990

love those CBS FOX openings !
Typing Logo of CBS/FOX Video Was From Early 1983 When it Had on "Rocky",'Doctor Dolittle'' 1967,"Hello Dolly" and "Casablanca" On VHS and Beta Tapes.
The third one was used for the 1999 movie "Our Friend, Martin"
Great quality there.
1979-1983 0:00
1983-1991 0:14
1985-1999 0:32
1998-2005 1:10
Piss off, those years are so wrong.
These were also known as "Bleacher Logo" intros, too.
Old skool VHS logos! ;)
I have that third logo on Garfield goes Hollywood and Garfield Christmas Special on VHS.
0:13 I’m pretty sure it’s unanimously voted for that this one hits right in nostalgia nerves
I remember the latest ones from Big, Halloween 4 & 5.
If you would like to own a video cassette of this program for your home library ask your home video dealer about purchasing you were previously view tapes
YOU do it!!!!!!!!!!
1:23 I THUNDER
I remember cbs fox video they was the shit back in the day
RCA SelectaVision VideoDisc is LaserDisc, not CED. The correct one is Capacitance Electronic Disc.
You forgot the one with the high-pitched version of the 20th Century Fox CinemaScope fanfare!
Maybe you could do an update of this video, using the special PAL logo after the "Stacking Lines" logo.
I have the third one from The Official 1993 NBA World Championship Video - Three-Peat: The Chicago Bulls' Historic Third Championship Season On VHS.
0:32-0:48 as seen on ZOMBIE ACADEMY (aka NIGHT LIFE and GRAVE MISDEMEANOURS in pre-Brexit era BRITAIN, 1989) only available on a FRENCH CBS/FOX VIDEO SECAM VHS tape
the track is national pride by keith mansfield not national trust as clg wiki says as seen on the universal production music library listing
How using CBS High Definition Encoder?
NBA Entertainment. That's all.
The first one on here is on my copy of Rocky III
I'd had at least one of these intros on my Videocassette of "Bill Cosby Himself".
Max Dugan Returns 0:13
for all CBS FOX fans, type in 3 G video on youtube tell me if it reminds you of CBS FOX
The Verdict starring Paul Newman.
Third is from some BBC VHS tapes.
0:31 Did I see this logo from somewhere?
Taken from the Australian vhs of the Simpsons
@Watcher3223
I know, mainly I was reffering to the Second one. The first one is the greatest quality it can get though, not perfect but not terrible.
0:36 DO U SEE THAT THIS ONE IS WB ANIMATED?!
But you forgot to use it, though.
@Watcher3223 AAAAAH!! I need time, and I want CBS FOX back in the rental store!!
Is this taken on Laserdisc or VHS?
All but the first were sourced from LaserDisc.
The first was sourced from a CED videodisc.
I'm NOT MR. SMITHERS, EITHER!
I AM NOT MR. BURNS!
DO IT!!!
2010
Do it! No skits from The Simpsons!
There are five logos, not four.
You forgot the one with the TCF fanfare!
I believe that was only for PAL releases.
That one looked a lot better than this first effort with its silent, tacky approach to having the logo form out of the lines/shapes/text, one by one.
1:23 I HEARD THUNDER!
1991-1999 0:32
Have a look at FLEMISHDOG's account and you might find it.
