Beep, beep I’m coming through lol. That was busy towards the end. And yes that tree certainly looked like a sling shot. These bridges and tunnels were awesome. I do think that looked like ruins of an old bridge. Great video and I’m so glad you subscribed to us as thats how I found your lovely videos. You have a great week also 🤗

      Hi Heidi
They just don't build things like that tunnel anymore. Always nice seeing some ruins when out hiking. Thank you for watching, my friend!

Wow Jenn!! Those are most definitely old bridge abutments for the trolley line. Probably would have been wood trestles. The tunnels are absolutely spectacular. The rolled up mattress is not cool. I would have been a little freaked out to. That last tunnel has some of the best construction I've ever seen. Great video Jenn. Be careful out there.

I'm so glad you answered my question about the bridge abutments! This is funny - after I asked, I had a feeling you might respond. I really appreciate you watching and commenting on my videos.
And about the rolled-up mattress...lol... I was joking, but at the same time, my mind was scrambling a bit, wondering if there might be a body in there.
Have a nice holiday weekend, my friend!

You're not strange! I love being in little pockets of wild among the urban sprawl; such a cool feeling! Awesome tunnels here! I'm with you on the dumping...it totally irritates me!!

Jenn I am so glad you hiked this trail! This has been on my list of ones I'd like to try. So many neat bridges and that final one was really impressive looking! Thanks for the warning about sharing the trail with bikers, good for people to know about.

Tree looked like a kentucky coffee tree the trench you were stading under that bridge that was fenced off was the trolley right of way

I knew the trail was a loop and that there were some ruins. However, I had no idea I would see so many interesting remnants of the past.

      Very cool ruins & remnants!
Funny seeing that "mattress". We got a bench delivered and it was worthless & broken. To return it for refund, we have it reboxed and taped up on front porch. It looks like we're trying to dispose of you- know- what. 😂😂

Give it some time and some lawyers/paving contractors will say that trail is not wheelchair accessible...we need to pave that and add parking lots and some roads so everyone can go there. MARK MY WORDS! Fairmount park has so much to see over by the old waterworks.

    • @jennsylvania1633

you are most likely correct. Fairmount Park certainly has it's beautiful locations and it's a shame that more people don't take advantage of visiting them
