A hike in nature is wonderful, but throw some ruins and history in there and I am all in! Thanks for sharing!
oh yeah, I feel the same way. More and more, I find myself searching for trails that include ruins.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated, my friend!
Beautiful hike in beautiful park. Video 👍
it was a pretty unique experience and if you ever find yourself in the area, you will probably enjoy it. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Very much appreciated!
@@jennsylvania1633 You are welcome friend 🙂
Nice video and presentation!
Thank you so much. I appreciate you taking the time to let me know your thoughts. Much appreciated, my friend!
Beep, beep I’m coming through lol. That was busy towards the end. And yes that tree certainly looked like a sling shot. These bridges and tunnels were awesome. I do think that looked like ruins of an old bridge. Great video and I’m so glad you subscribed to us as thats how I found your lovely videos. You have a great week also 🤗
thank you for the kind words, my friend. I realy enjoy your videos, especially when you share your thoughts on life. We really need more positivity in this world!
I also find your relationship with your son beautiful. Our children are what's most important in this world and I congratulate you on realizing it. : )
@@jennsylvania1633 thank you so much. Your the first to ever say that. You put a huge smile on my face today. 🤗
Totally awesome tunnel. Enjoyed the history of the park.😊
Hi Heidi
They just don't build things like that tunnel anymore. Always nice seeing some ruins when out hiking. Thank you for watching, my friend!
Wow Jenn!! Those are most definitely old bridge abutments for the trolley line. Probably would have been wood trestles. The tunnels are absolutely spectacular. The rolled up mattress is not cool. I would have been a little freaked out to. That last tunnel has some of the best construction I've ever seen. Great video Jenn. Be careful out there.
I'm so glad you answered my question about the bridge abutments! This is funny - after I asked, I had a feeling you might respond. I really appreciate you watching and commenting on my videos.
And about the rolled-up mattress...lol... I was joking, but at the same time, my mind was scrambling a bit, wondering if there might be a body in there.
Have a nice holiday weekend, my friend!
You're not strange! I love being in little pockets of wild among the urban sprawl; such a cool feeling! Awesome tunnels here! I'm with you on the dumping...it totally irritates me!!
Well, I'm glad that I'm not alone on feeling that way. Thanks for watching, my friend!
Jenn I am so glad you hiked this trail! This has been on my list of ones I'd like to try. So many neat bridges and that final one was really impressive looking! Thanks for the warning about sharing the trail with bikers, good for people to know about.
Glad you're hiking, Jen! Our holiday weekend is rainy with passing thunderstorms so far. Very wet camping or grilling😂
Hello, friend!
So far, the weekend has been pretty good, but from what I read, thunderstorms are fast approaching. Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
I fell on your channel, by watching : the wandering woodsman and dayhikedave; their both from Pa. You cracked me up.Good video😂
Hi Holly, I also watch the Wondering Woodsman & Day Hike Dave. They are two of my faves! I'm glad that you fell upon my channel and I hope that you'll stick around. Thank you for taking the time to comment. It's very much appreciated! Have a nice weekend!
Tree looked like a kentucky coffee tree the trench you were stading under that bridge that was fenced off was the trolley right of way
I knew the trail was a loop and that there were some ruins. However, I had no idea I would see so many interesting remnants of the past.
Very cool ruins & remnants!
Funny seeing that "mattress". We got a bench delivered and it was worthless & broken. To return it for refund, we have it reboxed and taped up on front porch. It looks like we're trying to dispose of you- know- what. 😂😂
@@redrooster1908 yeah it does....kind of scary...lol
Love your videos - if you ever need more suggestions for hikes in SE PA I can give a few.
Hi Mika!
I'm glad that you enjoy my videos. Yes, absoloutly. I'm always looking for interesting places to visit.
Give it some time and some lawyers/paving contractors will say that trail is not wheelchair accessible...we need to pave that and add parking lots and some roads so everyone can go there. MARK MY WORDS! Fairmount park has so much to see over by the old waterworks.
you are most likely correct. Fairmount Park certainly has it's beautiful locations and it's a shame that more people don't take advantage of visiting them
Thank you for watching, my friend!
