We have more than 70% of the content for the future chapters too which as opposed to Chapter 0, will be Open-World meaning: Alan Sharp can roam around the town, the bar, the lighthouse, the church, the forest, the graveyard, the old burnt factory and etc. and we are doing the polishes to make it possible without any loading screens. I think the actual gameplay looks really good for being 6 years, it’s only the cutscenes that are a little iffy. I think they did a fantastic job on this game!
I actually am a little annoyed about all of these comments saying like, “woah this took 6 years for two devs, I would’ve expected more.” Like I have been getting into game dev stuff lately and this stuff ain’t quick work for an actually polished game. For two devs this is good time. Cuphead took 5 years to make and a good deal of it was by just two people but later on that got like an entire team of people working on it. 5 YEARS FOR A GAME LIKE CUPHEAD AND THEY HAD A 20+ PERSON TEAM WITH 14 CONSISTENT WORKERS. Like guys, its not like they were working 8 hours a day and this was their full blown job too! They probably worked maybe 1-2 hours a day just as a side project together. Like this is not bad work, I hate these people bashing on these people’s hard work that they put in to make this game.

The animations are clunky imagine how much time they spent trying to make the animations somewhat realistic. If you can't pay attention to detail like this devs did why tf even comment something irrelevant like cuphead having been hand drawn? Hand drawn animations and hand made 3d animation without motion capture takes nearly as much time or even more.
I am learning web development and that is way easier compared to game development and I find it hard. The amount of shit you have to learn to make good web app and site is really hard. Compared to that game development seems like hell. People have no idea how hard this stuff is because they think its as easy as writing in a word document.
5:36 the voice acting not being the best is fair but the internet is free and a few quick searches could have saved the “story” line from falling apart in 5 minutes.

Cause this game is pretty damn good for a 6 yr project without a budget and a 2 person dev team. Games take a while to make ya know and it's called building skill it takes time to build skill up to make a game 100% perfect to everyone's liking. So unless you can do the 6yr no budget game 2 person dev team don't start.

That being said, nowhere did I insult the developers, the first cutscene was just a complete subversion of my expectations. What they’ve achieved is actually pretty impressive in my opinion.

You can’t just decide that I was being rude while also claiming that you weren’t. I also wasn’t “disrespecting the game”. I was criticizing the graphics. The devs have seemingly created an incredibly long and pretty intricate game with no budget and manpower but you can’t even begin to deny that it is ugly as all hell.
That was a pretty awful game. But hey, if it's like every other indie game that releases its game in chapters rather than all at once, we'll never see anything further. Especially if that took 6 years.
