We have been visiting PDC for many years, the old town has some lovely fish restaurants and the view is fantastic, the new town has a lot more choices for entertainment. Thanks for the vlog Kev 🤙
We have stayed at the Flora three times and at both sides of the road. One time we got an apartment around the rear on ground level and got no sun. Overall we enjoyed our stays there. It's a fair walk down to the old town but there's some nice bars on the hill for a little rest on the way. Enjoying your videos Kevin. Thanks for all your videos we love watching them wherever you go.
Just got your message. Yes I love the food reviews, it can make or break a hotel booking. Why book half board if the food is not good. Thanks Kevin and have yourself a happy Christmas, I’m sure you will.
I prefer staying nearer the new town but always spend some time in the old town. Lovely seafood restaurants around the harbour, I like the Biosphera shopping centre and there’s some lovely wee bars down that end too. Taxis are so cheap in PDC so it doesn’t really matter where you stay to be fair.
Normally stay Poccillos/Matagorda area so don’t go to the old town at night but love a wonder around during the day Biosphera shopping centre harbour but yeah that hill is steeper than you realise so definitely need a taxi back if you’re staying in that location buses are less frequent in the evening/night so best to get a ride
Been holidayinmg in PDC for nearly 20 years now. El Burro is a great restaurant and Sama, who was skiving outside on his phone, is a fantastic waiter lol. Jinty McGintys has been closed for over 10 years now I'm sure. We like both the old and new town so split our time between the 2.
New town every single time. Old town is a complete dump and far too hilly. Apart from the harbour area and around the top with the fish restaurants with the views we never venture into it, unless we have to to go to the Biosfera shopping centre for instance
Lots of wee dingy Irish Bars - even the Scottish one is a Celtic bar. Likely trying to charge an arm and a leg based solely on their names. Be giving that joint a massive body swerve.
@@ScotsmaninTenerife Yep the new town looks pretty decent. Considering it for Cheltenham week - any bars specialise in the racing in the new town? Seems like nice modern bars on the strip.
