Reminds me of my great holidays in England that summer. HAD to buy that single (yes we still had discs then) and play it about a million times back in Germany. Great times.
I'm looking for a song between the mid 90's till 2005, I always thought it was Supergrass but it's not. I only remember the end of the song with the lead signer (a young man) singing haha-haha what-a-ta and then a men choir reapeting haha-haha what-a-ta with a depper voice, thanks a lot
When i was in primary school, around 7 years ago i asked my dad for a cassette player, he gave me phillips machine in black with a brushed aluminum strip and within was this tape. I listened to it for days :) Makes me happy when i remember
Scott Davies wherever you are, (Kathryn's 90's childhood friend) thank you for humming this tune all the time! (I'm not Kathryn, I'm her middle sister). Through you I developed an obsession with this song as a child & this snowballed into an obsession with; jangly/indie/indie-pop/britpop style bands.
Reminds me of caravan holidays with the family at the beach, sunburn, fish and chips at the seaside and being young and totally carefree many moons ago. Long live the 90’s! ❤
great song from a era of brilliant cool music which made August 1996 . I mean a chart that contained Paul Weller & OMC & 3T &the Spice Girls & Gary Barlow!!!!!!.......Sheer bliss........
This song has ALWAYS been on our playlist for long family car drives. Bloody brilliant and the Royal Albert hall version with the kids makes a cynic weep
No, I must disagree, it’s not at all underrated. It’s very well thought of and was very successful as a single. It’s constantly used for advertisements in the UK. Still gets lots of playtime on classic radio channels that play feel good songs.
The sound of summer (especially the Caribbean video) this puts me in mind of Paul Mccartney & wings in it's style and could have been written by him' also the monkees i love its nostalgic feel
@@stud105 I was 7 to 8 years old in that year it was the happiest childhood of my life and it was euro 96 in Wembley as well I all to get it on dvd I feel nostalgic
