That’s what I was trying to get at! I don’t think I worded it correctly but I agree completely with what she said. Great dancers are great dancers: she’s not “great for a girl”, she’s just great in general
Ryujin's stage presence never disappoints tho 😭 her facial expressions are crazy as hell, and the way she executes those moves is so sharp that it gives me pleasure everytime watching it. Btw may I ask about the information about your lipstick? That color looks so gorg on u tho 🥺
i watch a lot of "dancer reacts to" videos bcs i used to dance but stopped and im still interested to learn more about it from qualified people, and this video was so much more informative than any other channels ive watched

I would also be super interested to see you react to Juhyeon from Lightsum (cube's newest girl group) bc she's been considered an amazing dancer since she was like thirteen on a show called The Unit where she was the best female dancer.
Love seeing you break the styles of dancing when you react!! Not sure if you’ve heard about it but I would definitely recommend you watch street woman fighter!!! It’s a dance competition show ft only all female dance crew members and to watch cold blooded by Jessie cuz it features the dance crews!!!
i love what you said about gendered language when we talk about dance (or tbh anything), that's something ive been trying to articulate for a while and you expressed it rly well. I keep hitting that wall of gendered language in Kpop even while trying to break them down, especially when talking about male idols who present more (sigh) feminine. It feels like by using the only word for it that I have in this language I'm doing the exact opposite of what I actually want to do, which is remove those gendered concepts from the conversation entirely
i've been so annoyed with ppl saying Ryujin's aotm is "simpler" and "easier" than the others, especially comparing her to Yeji's and Chaeryeong's which were both rly flashy (and also amazing and rly difficult). People really undermine the technical difficulty of "simple" choreography, and what really makes this performance is her precision and her expressiveness, which are both incredibly difficult to achieve and clearly took years of training to get to a point where she could pull this off so well. People get so used to watching Kpop (especially boy group) dances that do the absolute most to be flashy and start thinking there's only one type of "difficult" choreo
I cannot think about how I got to this video but ironically, it started with Yeji and Ryujin's cover of Bebe Rexha's "I Can Break My Heart Myself". I'm not a dancer. I'm a photographer. I see Ryujin as an artist. I see her as I see IU, or Judy Garland, or Fred Astaire, or a bunch of photographers who I guess would not mean anything to you. I can watch sports and that has nothing to do with art, but I will tend to prefer art. I think that what makes Ryujin particularly unique in the Kpop world is that she has that kind of artistic soul. I guess that can sound pretentious, but it is what I see. You sounded like you had a cold. 'Hope you're better now!
I'm a little confused. In your opinion, Ryujin is the best performer/ dancer of the 4th Generation? So, where does Chaeryeong fit in your list? Because Chae is the Main Dancer of ITZY, which means their company has acknowledged Chaeryeon as a better dancer than Ryujin (or anybody else in ITZY). Really, honestly NOT trying to start an argument here, I am actually confused. How could Ryujin be the better dancer if Chae is in the Main Dancer position? I want to understand your thinking about that.
