Except you aren't really making any decissions that lets you push your luck? The only choices you seem to make are what to buy, and some abilities like which tiles to put back with the cabbage, but even those decissions seems super obvious.

I believe the grapes allow you to move and then progress to the next spiral. So a Grape 4 is a decent piece to try to keep up with the turnip.
