- Mohammed (Arabic:محمد) is a character in the Grand Theft Auto series, who appears as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto IV. He is a cab driver for Roman Bellic's taxi business.
Mohammed is very short tempered and impatient, although he is relatively civil to Niko at first; this quickly changes to open hostility, as he apparently resents not only Roman for his company's perceived low wages, but also Niko, who he believes is a lazy freeloader for getting free rides. Mohammed usually insults Niko by calling him "dog lover".
Early in the game, he picks Niko up in one of Roman's Esperanto-based taxis, but the fleet is upgraded to use Cavalcades right after Roman buys a new safehouse in Algonquin -- a phone call from Roman suggests that he had a sizeable gambling win around the same time.
Unlike the other taxi there are a few advantages to using Roman's taxi.
1. The ride no matter where or how long, is free of charge.
2. The driver won't leave the car due to a wanted level.
3. It is a good choice for a drive-by, having someone else drive.
4. If you accidentally try to carjack the taxi, the doors will be locked so there is no wanted level for vehicle theft.
5. The police can't arrest you as the doors are locked.

Tip to players: The cops can't open your door because the driver locks it. If they manage to break the window by shooting at you, they will be able to put their hands inside and open the door... That's some good AI work right there.

I found Roman’s cab driver to be hilarious. I never killed him either because I play incredibly realistic or as much as possible, and I always thought it looked stupid if you kill him, and then he picks you up again later.
I love this game. Maybe dark and dreary but the universe is full of life. It feel like you are really there after a few missions.

i used to get wanted levels all the time with him as driver and keep setting markers at each end of the city to see if he made it without getting killed haha
You can also skip the cab ride while the cops are on you and it takes you out of the police zone
provided your destination was outside that zone :)
The positive thing about this cab driver is, that he also drives you when the police is hunting you.
Kind of sad, that you cannot take this service anymore after Roman's taxi company is burned down.
Roman rebuilds the cab business from the insurance money, and then Mohammed will pick you up in a black Cavalcade (10:01 in the video)

My favourite thing to do in GTA 4 was to tell Roman's cab driver to go somewhere then i would use cheats to get a 6 star wanted level and then i would watch him driving around trying to avoid crashing into the cops... but the cops killed him most of the time :(
