The concept of "likeness rights" is quite different between the Japan and the U.S. (specifically, the U.S. is much more strict). Therefore, the boxer character of "Mike Bison" would clearly cause legal problems for Capcom in America. Therefore, those three characters names were rotated. "Mike Bison" (the boxer) became "Balrog," "Balrog" (the clawed fighter) became "Vega," and "Vega" (the dictator) became "M. Bison" (which would be retconned to stand for "Master Bison.")
actually, you'd be surprised by how realistic some of these combos are. When you do a deep, ambiguous cross up (not a blatant or obvious one) on a shoto or character that has a reversal attack that uses the down input (i.e. 90% of the roster) the mix up can mess up the input a you end up hitting them while their ducking. In fact, I've had to start adjusting to this scenario regularly on hd remix when playing online.
at the start of 1:31 where Ken does a combo on Sagat, how were you able to jump jab and do the sempu-kyaku all in one jump? is that possible? either way, great combos dude!!!
was this all done on the XBOX? I like the CE boxer 6hit combo. That one is classic. The 13hit with Ken towards the end was nice too. Was this done with a hack or is it pure skill?
I never realized how nasty Ken's combos were in this game, there were some pretty impressive chains in there. And yes, you'll virtually never see these combos even in tournament-level gameplay, that's why it's called an EXHIBITION. It's like the NBA slam-dunk contest: they can do amazing things when not in check by referees or defenders, but you never see dunks like that during an actual game.
just type valkyrie profile lezard tower on youtube, you will certainly see the stage with this music^^. How about capture this combo video on pc? I tryed snag it, but even in 25,28,60 fps my capture lag as hell...
That's true, but Majestros is a master of combo videos who is well respected by most of the top ST players, and this particular one was NOT tool assisted, making it that much more impressive. Apparently, the guy is going to unveil an unbelievable Guile combo vid at Evo this year, where he uses save states, special input, and other elements of TAS-ing for the first time, as well as a detailed explanation.
Its not that hard. Hold back as you are jumping in, then j. roundhouse\/st. Short then towards, back, towards + jab~kick (that will do the super, you'll kara the jab if you do it too fast, and it wont work if you do it too slow) then juggle with j. strong.
I play on the PS3 so if you want it my tag is : shedindin (pray we have no lag issues, so sorry if we do) Sadly no, I haven't really played many players that do really complicated combos, my style of playing is flashy as hell, I always practice my combos in training like homework just to make sure I have them down on a reflex level. Plus, you'd be surprised by how easier it gets beating people when your down to a sliver of health but you have a super and large combo to use it with.
You obviously know extremely little about Super Turbo, then. Hell, the c. jab+Sonic Boom is elementary to pull off, and the entire Guile combo is one of the least impressive combos of the movie. I think the most startling things was the Bison combo into Super; damn near impossible to pull off in an actual encounter, but incredibly effective.
Like I said in my last comment... YES, and it's not even particularly hard. Hell, I think anyone that spends five minutes practicing the correct motions could replicate it with at least 90% efficiency on a joystick or pad. Of course, it would take far, far more practice to pull off the entire combo, and some of the other combos in this video are near-impossible, but the c. jab+Sonic is child's play, just slightly above complete newbie level.
no u cant cancel standing forward into super no matter how hard you try according to Yoga Book Hyper thats obviously hacked dudes, that cancel all cehat
Combo videos are only "Misleading" If you are like most the idiots on youtube who cry that "YOU CANT DO THESE IN A MATCH SO LETS WHINE ABOUT IT" Or the "ITS SO EASY DOING THIS ON A PERSON WHOS STANDING STILL"
Name of the music is: Hard Chain Reaction. from Valkyrie Profile,a PS1 RPG
@Siebenzer it's one of the dungeon background musics from Valkyrie Profile for the PSX (Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on the PSP).
The guile combo at the end was epic!
@Siebenzer It is the boss battle music from Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
@Siebenzer From the video game Valkyrie Profile it's called Hard Chain Reaction

That last Guile combo throws me back to his combos in MvC2.
Friggin' yeah, man. Friggin' eff yeah.
1:52 that seems impossible to do like how do you charge so fast to do the Sonic booms you must be using the joystick and d-pad combo
I'm sorry about my language but that last Guile combo was FUCKING AMAZING!

Anyone know how to do HF Balrog's combo in this vid? The double dashing punch is the confusing part. Aside from that it seems easy enough to do.
woooowwww, final sakura's image
you see when balrog does that multi dash punch attack, the cpu can do that in SFII turbo but is it really possible to do?
1:43 How possible is to do Guile's special without charge and combo it.
Please how does Balrog do those multiple punches at 1:16?
Anyone know where the music is from?
Great vid anyways, thanks for the up

Yeah that Ken one on Sagat was ill!
I wonder how many of these combos are actually possible without cheating. I know the last Guile combo isn't.
@eyworld there is always ways to avoid that you know.
Ken at 1:31 and on was my favorite!
The last Guile combo was on Dreamcast ST not HSF2.
