Looks like a place I need to go. I live in Pagosa Springs so it's not to far away. Thanks for sharing this and although this is my first comment I have been watching your content for some time. Hope you finish healing soon.
Wow. Not bad for your first adventure since rehab and couch living. I'm glad your Dr/Therapist is taking great care of you. What a lovely place this was. I just love NM. I'm so glad I'm here. I'm originally from CT. I escaped and then returned there after many years because of family, then escaped again when I bought an old RV in the summer of 2016. Never looked back.
@@4XPEDITION Me too. I marvel that so many people live their entire lives in one place. I guess it's nice to be that content, if content is what you could call them. I gotta move every 6 or 7 years or I get antsy.
My family and I live in Rio Rancho. We have been to Bandalier several times. Very pretty hike through historical sites, especially if you like to explore. We recently took a drive through Angle Fire, Eagles Nest, and stopped at Red River to eat at that Brewery restaurant. I have never seen it so green up there. All that rain you guys have been getting ( compared to the last three years). Oh also Jemez is pronounced hey-mess. Kind of like how Jesus is pronounced Hey-Suse, in the Spanish language. Just to help with the side eye confused looks you may get when saying that mountain range. I know we did when we first moved here. lol. Love your adventure videos and subscribed for the pursuit of cabin living series. You are living my dream man. Keep up the great content and inspiring all of us would be weekend adventures. I am soo happy for you that you found someone to share the experiences with.
Yeah, I was told that after filming the video. I should have known as where I am from in Arizona there are a few places still pronounced in Spanish. Thanks for watching! Glad you ejoyed the video, Christopher.
I am glad your back is better. Sucks when you can’t be active. I truly appreciate the content you create. It’s real and love the love you put into this channel. Okay, I’m off to your store - looking to purchase a hat. :)
Hi there Jeff. Glad you enjoy them. I am hard on myself sometimes...thinking they could be so much better and asking myself why I don't have hundreds of thousands of subscribers by now...but considering they are shot on two iphones, in the moment, nothing staged...they are pretty good. ;-) Hope I have what you want in stock!
Great video & thank you for your effort/time invested! You and Heather are a great team & enjoyable to watch your passion for the outdoors blend! Much health/success to you both😉👌
Hi, Scott & Heather. Another great hike in Northern New Mexico. Everyone can see why we love it here. I'm glad your back is better, Scott. It looks like you had a great time. *TYU*
Thanks again for taking us along on anther great adventure. Glad to hear you are doing better. I need to start a someday list and make sure this one is added. As well as so many others with a few nights at one of your campsites as well. Hoping to hit the road more in 2023.
So good to see you both back adventuring again! Your back update was appreciated and I am happy you are well on your path to recovery. This park is a real treasure! It seems to hit all the boxes for a great trip. Thanks for sharing it with us and for all your efforts in recording and editing another fine episode. Take care always 😊
Thank you so much, James. It really is a great trip and having Santa Fe so close by as well as several other features of the area such as the Caldera, the Rio Grande Gorge, and so on, It is a great trip to plan. Thanks for watching!
Hey guys, great vid!!! You should look into upgrading your mattress in your RTT… I had the same problem with mine, got some new 4” inflatable ones, when deflated I put 2 sleeping bags, 3 pillows, sheets, and it closes easily!! Plus our 50 something body thanks us!!!!😊
Thanks for the tip, Bill! That's what I did with my old iKamper. I took out the factory mattress and added Expeds. I am likely going to do that with this one too. And add thin carpet squares on the floor.
I love Bandelier National Monument. We were there mid-October 2021. We were able to drive directly to the Visitor Center--maybe they require the shuttle during the peak season and later allow people to drive in. I live about 10 miles from the Atlantic Ocean but New Mexico is definitely my favorite place. Lucky you!
Hello Scott & Heather, Scott I’m really glad you found out what the real medical issue was and that you’re on the road to recovery. Nothings worse than not having your health… Love the fact that you’ve been exploring New Mexico as I get to travel along with the two of you exploring our great state… I guess it’s really official now I’ve obtained my NM drivers license as well as registered both vehicles… What a cool place to explore, thank you for sharing. Safe travels
Enjoy our first adventure since I injured my back this summer. And, more episodes to come next week!
GOOD TIMES!
For sure. We will definitely go back.

A worth while trip for sure!
I'd like to go back and backpack there.

We chose not to climb the ladders, but still loved our visit. Totally worth the visit! Love the channel.
The ladders are pretty steep for sure! Thanks for watching, Rod!
Some purdy country up there.
That is for darn sure, Richard.
Very nice 🇨🇦
Thank you! Cheers, Peter.

I grew up in White Rock and have been there many times but it never gets old. The Jemez mountains are beautiful.

The entire Southwest is a treasure.
