To clarify, if you remove your viewmodels, you will remove EVERYTHING. The shaking outline is what Lazy did for viewer convenience, and in the game you will have nothing visible on your screen.
Someone should make a mod for those view models tho, I think they look pretty cool
also it improves your aim like Quake's viewmodel disabled.

Not true. If you use legal developer console commands to make your weapon viewmodels invisible, you will still have your HUD/User Interface. Only insane people would remove the HUD in TF2.
@@TF2CrunchyFrog Right. I was referring to "everything about the weapon" and was a wee bit overzealous. Of course removing weapon viewmodels won't remove the rest of the UI. That would be insane to try and operate with.

spy being scouts dad was actually only revealed in the 7th comic, before that the only thing we knew was that spy screwed scouts mom

seriously, the dev team had to re-word the description of the Rocket Jumper, that read "This weapon does no damage whatsoever", so that it would more clearly convey the message of "Please stop using this weapon for active fighting as this weapon does absolutely *>NO DAMAGE!

And with scout out of the way, you may or may not believe this, but you are now basically about to enter what i like to call the "Progressively more and more high quality" arc of lazypurple. Cannot wait for some of the future ones. You guys are probably going to be utterly baffled with how much shit Lazy goes through to make these when you reach how it feels to suffer.
God if that video don't make you feel the pain and desperation.
For a few of his "How it feels to play TF2" videos, LazyPurple has an extra behind-the-scenes video where he goes into more detail about elements of a class's gameplay that he didn't cover in the main video. Definitely watch those as well.
7:55 funny fact, scout has a double capture rate because of Archimedes, one of Medic's doves, being inside his chest after the uber surgery at the end of Meet the Medic
when scout dies via explosion, his gibs have a chance of also having Archimedes fly out of his remains for the same reason as above

The first part is funny interpretation of in game features and canon information
Scout has double cap rate because it is a holdover feature from TFC, where the Scout's whole gimmick is being an objective workhorse, since in combat, he sucks.

When you have done with Lazy Purple, i suggest you to react to SoundSmith and his "man guide to weapon" series (and of course "hat stereotypes" as well).
Lazypurple is just great. Always happy to see people reacting to him and his editing.
Scout is my fav class and what got me into playing TF2. He is one of the best direct 1v1 class in the game with his speed and strength. Carnage and his Meatshot 8) series was a big inspiration to fledgling Scouts.
I would recomend his TF2 Heavy video, but his TF2 Engineer video shows his effort.
LazyPurple also did a recreation of Meet the Soldier on his second channel and it is amazing. Definitely watch it

3:28 valve games usually allow you to access the dev console, which allows you to make some ingame commands. A joke among tf2 and gmod community is to bind a key to kill yourself (for example, in tf2 there is a taunt that lets you slap your hand with another player, the punchline is to kill bind as you hit the other person). So here, the other two players kill bind themselves as the medic does a taunt.
also, Lazy did used to make the animations himself. But he's a super perfectionist and it slowed his production way down. Now he works with Kostamoinen to speed up the process, and by speed up, I mean 'How it feels to play medic' is the first project they're doing.

Also eventually you will get to react to his SFM animation process video. You will get to see how shit SFM is and its spaghetti coding. There's a reason Valve doesn't really touch the game anymore, no new employees would want to bother with the old Source code.

spy is scout's dad. it's shown in one of the comics where spy finds scout lying on the ground, but doesn't have the strength to confront him so he disguises as tom jones to make scout happy thinking his dad is tom jones before he dies (and then gets sent back down from heaven because he's too cool to die yet)

I hate it that every commenter on TF2 reactions spoil the Scout is Spy's son reveal. It's literally something that is confirmed in the very last TF2 comic you would think people would keep it a secret.
Scout maybe sound like op class but he nerfed by his health (125 hp). He basically can be one-shoted by almost every direct hit rocket, pipe or arrow

Yes, there are skins in TF 2. While some of them are just decorationx, some weapon skins may change gameplay
Just a few of them really change anything, like The Original
about the game difficulty: yes the skillcap is enormous ! I personnaly have around 4k hours in the game but I would be considered a low level player compared to some pros
BUT tf2 is a team game (I mean first word of the title), you don't need to have a perfect mastery of any class to have fun and win ! Work with your team, know your role and *enjoy*, you'll be spending hours in it without even realizing
Fun Fact: Scout is the only class that is not only the fastest runner, he captures points faster too

You're on the money, there. LazyPurple is rather notorious even among other TF2bers for his high-quality videos, and he puts a LOT and I mean a LOT of effort into them. If you plan to continue with the How it Feels series, you won't be disappointed.

4:29 Turning off viewmodels is one of many things you can do. Like all of Valve's other games, TF2 gives you access to the developer console, which allows you extremely fine control over your settings. You can't use it to cheat since the more gameplay-affecting settings are controlled server-side, but it does give you significantly more power than the game's normal settings menu.
