Thank you for making this video with a southern accent because I am from the south and it annoys me whenever I hear a southern accent spoken in a way that sounds like living in the South the worst thing ever, Your southern accent is not only accurate it almost sounds like you are from the south and not making fun of people born and living in the south. Ouch, that hurt. Going behind our back to do a background check and to hear about it at a party from gossiping mongrels. I would be soooo upset even though I can understand the reasoning. I can understand it but it doesn't justify it.
I would let him in or maybe ask for some time and then try to talk it out. But my trust has already been violated and there's a gap that needs to be mended and that's going to take some time and serious work and communication
