- The countdown and opening song (Escape Plan) Moshpit view. The show was crazy and the crowd was uncontrollable. I will be posting more content from that night.
Luckily, we were more towards the back of the gate so there were no serious injuries near us. The concert was hype the entire time with no rest time. Even as a 5 11' adult male I could feel the compression of the crowd. If you aren't super tall or are not prepared to rage I would watch from afar. Drugs also don't help, it just causes more havoc.
I know what happened to everyone was terrible. Rest in Peace to all the people who died at Astroworld. If you know any of the victims' names please put them in the comments so they can be remembered.

Looking back, that set, the count down. Someone said the felt like they were at a concert in hell. The pyrotechnics the opening siren. It’s all kind of fucked up in retrospect. The fact that he had a statue that was an open mouth of his own face just devouring his fans as they funneled into the concert. Almost like he was eating them. The fact that Friday morning he posted feast this Friday. And many other times referred to his concert as the time to feast. And yet that statue was just eating up his fans. Then they come in here and he continues to perform a homage to himself as they all are mass murdered in injured screaming for help and chanting in masse. This is history’s most evil concert. And keep in mind that Travis Scott is the founder of this festival. He made a lot of money off this and today he just happens to be the number one trending topic. Not AstroWorld, not mass casualty event, not tragic concert, the number one trending topic is “Travis Scott “. Then there was the way he riled up the crowd got them pissed off with that countdown and then didn’t pop off immediately waited a little bit to agitate and get them hyped up. Travis Scott is known for his tactics riling up crowds with anger and violence. Also if you look carefully this is happened at AstroWorld three years in a row people storming the barricades are getting hurt. Then there was that time the Travis Scott convinced a fan to jump off of the second-story platform nearly killing himself. He has someone to kill themselves for him. And I get the eerie feeling that he goes home, and tells Kylie look babe, people die for me. Seems like the type of personality he has considering his concert had a gigantic statue of his head literally eating his fans. He thinks he’s a god. He sacrificed these people in his own name. Imagine, Falling to the floor unable to breathe in the music stops you hear people screaming for him to stop the show, and then he just tells people to put their middle fingers in the air instead as long as they’re OK fuck the people who are hurt. And they did. Then he played even harder, and the whole crowd began to bounce up and down and stomp all over those people. Just jumping up and down on top of everyone who had passed out. This is evil.

I have attended MANY gnarly mosh pits at many metal festivals and none of them were this packed or surged this bad. This is unbelievable. I think the pandemic made us forget how to safely attend concerts and the producers of this festival specifically here in Texas should really start to reevaluate how and where they do this festival. This is the second time something like this has happened here and this time it was much worse than the first. Either reevaluate how to safely do this or don't do it at all...

I got a headache from watching that fire and phoenix flapping it’s wings. I can’t even imagine. Everyone there will be scarred for a long time. While this song was performing, All the moshing pushed and compressed everybody in the left pocket of the concert. There’s a video of a giant pile of fallen people. Screaming for help and a bunch of traumatized faces. What’s crazy is that you can’t even tell that was happening from this angle. Scary knowing that some of these people went out screaming their lungs out with nobody able to hear or help them.

The problem is that they had one person performing at the end of the night and only one stage going. Festivals usually have more than one stage closing the night, which distributes the crowd.
The difference was the fact that they had one stage and a ton of people barging in. It’s not uncommon to have people get trampled in overpopulated arenas/areas. When I first heard the news it really reminded me of the Hillsborough disaster.
