If the focus is investment then buying jewellery will be a wrong decision at the same time if focus is jewellery then buying gold bars is also a wrong decision, gold bar is more an financial decision while gold jewellery is an imotional decision. Gold jewellery is a imotion. ಒಂದು ಮಾಂಗಲ್ಯ ಚೈನ್ ಅಥವಾ ಮದುವೆಗೆ ಕೊಡೋ ಒಡವೆ ಇದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕವಗಿ ಬಂದಿರೋದು ಮತ್ತು ಅದಿಕ್ಕೆ ಅದರದೇ ಆದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ ಇದೆ. I still wear jewellery made by mom and gifted to me which are more than 35 years old. It's more imotional. Probably most of them confuse gold jewellery as an investment, yes it has depreciation but if you compare it, still it would gives better returns compared to other assets and liquidation is easy. So jewellery should be treated differently as compared to SGB/gold bars.
