    The photodiode is a semiconductor device which converts the light into electrical current.

      No, currently there isn't. But I am planning to complete the network analysis series soon. Because many topics like circuit analysis using laplace transform, two port network analysis are yet to be covered. And of course these theorems.

    Hi, how to calculate a resistor value for a photodiode?

      It depends on the type of current, you are measuring. When there is a sufficient light (mW power) then few kΩ resistor would be sufficient. At the most one should not go beyond 100 kΩ, otherwise the thermal noise of resistor will come into picture and can affect the accuracy of the reading.

    I plan on using MCT photocells to energy harvest the blackbody radiation of roomtemperature objects. There's about 411 w/m^2 of radiation being emitted by blackbodies at room temperature, the sun at noon is only 1000 w/m^2...... think about it.
