What a trip this couch is.....I love it. I imagine you need lots of extra fabric to account for all the tucking. When you were cutting the wood your voice was really hard to hear. Heyyyyy everything is easy after a few disasters hahahha. Sooooo about the couch comfort. I would suggest using the noodles that have a hole in the inside cause I think it would make it softer and more absorbing of the pressure. This one is ok but it feels like the hard beds heheh

I made many couches of cardboard! 1 year later they are all super stable
