2yr update from me, one of the best things i ever bought, not just for work but for everyday use as well,,,,the only issue i do have with it is the rechargeable battery doesn't last long! But ye well worth having in your tool box, you won't release how useful it is & you will use more than you think! It would be nice if it just printed a random symbol or something on the waste bit,so it wouldn't be wasted & something you could just put away for when it would come in handy one day!
Finally got one of the PT-E560BT models, and that was the first thing I checked; the little bit of wasted space (or not so little when using 24mm) at the start of every print. Always kind of bothered me on my little 110 I had. Of course if I know for sure I’m printing multiples, or a sequence, I can always do that and set it to do an auto half-cut for every one I guess..? At least I won’t have to use scissors or something to cut them by hand anymore.
Brilliant - thanks for this. I have just got one of these as my first label printer and I was lost in how to use it quickly but this video says it all very effectively. Thanks again!
I don't use all the fancy choices, I just wanted a printer for labeling and cables. What I don't like about the machine is the waste of tape as the label comes out. The tapes are not cheap and this particular model seems to waste about 18" over the length of an 8mt tape. I also am having grief registering my new printer on the Brother website. Other than that it works well, does its job and lasts for years. 👍
Is it possible to print out label without cutting an empty piece of tape? Can I turn off the option "Cut tape or press enter to continue"? I don't want to throw 40% of tape in trash
I worked at a data centre years ago and we had a similar model that when the print button was pressed in the tape was pulled back into the machine thus not causing this waste tape. Perhaps it was a more advanced model, I don't know but it IS a waste of tape.
Yes the Brother PT-E300VP is able to print directly onto heat shrink tubing, please visit www.labelzone.co.uk/brother-pt-e300vp-professional-handheld-label-printer/p15675 for more information!

Buenas tardes tengo un gran problema con mi etiquetadora brother PT e300 la misma se me quedó en la fase de USB cómo puedo salir de ese comando está en la pantalla de etiquetadora - usb- computadora me pueden ayudar
Hello, No is the answer, The way these machines work is, there is an ink ribbon that gets thermally printed onto the inside of the laminate top then stuck to the colored backing. I've been using these brother machines for years and none of my labels have ever deteriorated. (apart from people picking them off)
@@alvint4944 use them on air-conditioning equipment outside and switch gear. After a couple of years in direct sun they tend to fade and delaminate but then what wouldn't. It is to be expected, in outside in the dry or sheltered I have seen labels that are years old but just dirty and OK 😉

Same problem. In the settings there is no such option .

Did you end up finding a solution for this? I have just acquired a PT-E300 and have the same issue.
If you print one at a time you will always lose a bit, if you print loads at the same time you will save tape.

Labels can handle high temperatures, high humidity and even chlorine and sulfur corrosion.
Anyone using these P-Touch tapes for their gardening labels?
