Going here this summer! It’s my first all-inclusive and I cant wait to try all the delicious food and mixed drinks! The last 3-4 years in healthcare have melted my brain so a relaxing vacation of doing nothing and have nothing scheduled sounds like absolute bliss.

I would surf on that beach but use The Valley beds for chilling after a surf. That locker room looks fancy. The Outdoor sports area looks cool. My skills aren’t that good. All the Restaurants look awesome.

Not yet! We are waiting until the new complex is built in PVR to head down there and film.

Have you ever been to Secrets Cap Cana? We want to go here, but would be so interested in your opinion of this resort. We have been to almost all of the resorts that you review.
We find your reviews are just so in depth and helpful.
I went to Secrets Cap Cana in 2019 and I LOVED it. Smaller resort with great food and service,. We also chose a junior swim out suite in the Preferred Club. It is a great resort if, like us, you want to relax. Perfect if you don't need a lot of night entertainment.
Great video! Question, we can't seem to find if there are any smoking areas on the resort. Do you know if there are any places that my husband could light up a cigar? Thanks!
Vicki there are smoking areas at this resort. I know of at least 3 (one on the way to the beach, just before Bar-acuda, one beside the sidewalk to Oceana, and one behind the activity gazebo by the pool). There is likely more, but these are the ones I made use of. There was also a cigar shop right outside of the preferred lounge.

Great video, very informative. Their website promotes no green fees for golf, but I heard there is mandatory cart fee of ~ $89 US. Are you familiar with the costs for golf? Thanks.

Which rooms are the one close to the main pool and NOT when you have to take the golf cart to get to room?
Those will be the oceanfront or oceanview rooms.
Danny...we can't decide between Secrets Play Mujeres and Secrets Akumal....which would you choose if doing a swim up room category?? 😵😵😵
That would depend a lot on which swim up you are looking at. The Master Suite Ocean Front Swim Up at PM can't be beat. But the standard Junior Suites would depend more on which resort you like more.

Is it expected to tip during the stay for drink service, meals, etc? Is everything truly included as far as food and booze?
We always tip our favorite waiter and bar tenders. And yes it is an all-inclusive. There will always be add-ons but you can easily stay and never spend any extra.

Any idea if many of the facilities are closed due to covid? In particular the likes of the swim up bar
97% of the resort is at full operation with limited capacity. The Gym and a few other things may remained closed, but they do a great job with their policies.

That depends on what you consider a night club, the sports bar does turn into a club at night with that glowing outdoor area as well.
Do you have a favorite Secrets in Mexico?
It is hard to pick against Akumal or Playa Mujeres. But everyone has their favorites since they are all unique. The Vine for instance is a drastically different style resort and many of our customers LOVE the Vine.
My favorite secret in Mexico is buried underneath a highway overpass in Oaxaca

The wardrobe! It’s a turnoff and hard to connect with the presenter when you see dark shades, dark polo with a white crew neck underneath, uugghhh. Let me suggest khakis pants a light colored button down dress shirt and with your logo of course.
