I always found this scene the creepiest part in the movie. That house looks like it’s just staring at you and the music with children singing, I always imagined it being the ghost of the people who died or the demons portraying as innocent children, dancing away in the halls, spinning in circles just waiting for their next victim.

It seems like the 2005 remake kinda went along with what happens in the 1978 version but did it a bit different. They did their own thing basically
