maybe for the mostly empty room above your mud farm, you can put a small wheat farm in it! even if its just a manual farm, it could add even more use considering you do need wheat for the packed mud
26:16 To make the new Mud Bricks you need wheat. A small wheat farm would be a good fit for your upper room. Tango made a great design earlier in the season that used hopper minecarts under the farmland, farmer villagers with inventories filled with seeds (so they couldn't pick up the wheat), and trapdoors surrounding the farmers' Composters (to prevent them from getting rid of the seeds). A small farm that was constantly loaded will produce quite a bit of wheat over time.

I honestly think this episode is the epitome of hermitcraft. Scars whole thing is finally done, while starting up a resistance storyline. And if you’re here for the building and redstone side of the server, the mud farm has you covered. If someone asks me what hermitcraft is like, I’ll share this episode with them. Great video!
I love that over the past few weeks Grian's slowly been changing the ren statue in subtle ways in order to get diamonds for his illicit quests, and then the soup group come along and just completely change the statue in one go 😂
The soup group who accidentally formed due to the lack of foods is making another huge impact/history in the server yet again.. if the king still insists on royal emerald then i think the soup group Resistance will grow rapidly. Can't wait to see it .
I would love to see a cleaning lady's dungeon trap, where Scar is required to organize a mess, in order to escape before Death's Broom sweeps his existence away 🙃
It is interesting to note that all the hermits used to build statues of themselves in their bases way back in the day (S2), so giant statues of hermits are actually fairly common. They also used to keep boats and hoes in their vaults for some bizarre reason, instead of diamonds.
So people should make emerald blocks and go swap them out for diamond blocks from around the castle. Not as if he has a palace guard or anything. There's plenty left, piled up around.
Pearl, you could make a decent auto wheat farm to your upstairs room! (In the mud farm). If you used a couple villagers, and some bees it's actually pretty decently fast!
That chest monster scar made is too good to clean up or forget about, you should decorate the hole leading down. Maybe something like a excavation dig site that broke into a creatures lair.
The fact that grian set up the contact just to remve some sings with out starting a rebellion but indirectly make Inc. infuses start one is just gold to me😂

I only hung out for part of the stream where you decorated the mud farm! I love how it turned out! Maybe the second floor room could have frogs/another type of mob just living in the plant. Like how some animals hollow out plants and trees for homes!
I really like that bulbous alien plant thingy. I think you're right, though, that it needs something new on the inside. It feels wrong that the whole thing is just a hollow shell. I think that, as an organism, it needs some kind of internal structure. Organic walls that divide things into cells, maybe veins of a different colour that suggest xeno-biological processes happening. Maybe there could be signs that the mud farm was made by hollowing this thing out, leaving rips and scar tissue?
Oh man, Scar went hard on that chest monster design and performance and I love every moment of it. Absolute magnificence. Also I seriously need to build a mud farm. Doing it by hand takes soooooooo dang long.

Replace all the king’s diamonds with emeralds….he started “king’s emeralds “…..make him live with them. Research room needs muddy roots, unless you’re wanting to save those for a mangrove section. Could do a “drying rack” there, too, for the mud-to-clay “experiment”.
You could put a nice little wheat farm in the top floor of the mud factory. That way you can make packed mud. It looks like it would be the perfect size.
You could have just bought mud from Bdubs' Coffee Shop, upstairs behind the moss shop. I'm sure he'll happily accept Royal Emeralds as payment. After all, he's the one who crowned the King. He definitely should be included in the Soup Rebellion's plans, as a target. Alternatively, you could just gather up the Royal Emeralds from everyone's shops, and swap them out for diamonds from the King's Quest dungeon. At least, thanks to Scar, you'll never need to craft another barrel, chest, or shulker box. 🤠👍💕
Whenever we make any farms in Hermitcraft, there's always a suggestion of 'you could have just bought it at [x]'s shop'. It's a suggestion made in good will, but I think ignores that we would like content too. I don't want to make empty builds, I want to make interactive ones. I buy blocks, but not everything has to be shopped.
@@PearlescentMoon I see that. I was mainly suggesting it as a way to get rid of those Royal Emeralds Bdubs and Ren are using. They claim that those have the same value as diamonds. You might want to check your shops again, too. Other Hermits have discovered that Ren is now replacing every Diamond he finds in their shops with those things.
@@oldsoldier4209 I think it is worth noting that the hermits have weekly meetings and communicate with each other outside of the server, and while some shenanigans/pranks are secret for the Hermits to discover, bigger lore based matters such as throwing the diamonds into the pit, soup groups resistance of the king, and in relation to your comment: the Royal Emeralds and the king replacing the diamonds with them in shops is all going to be things the hermits have talked about in these meetings and agreed upon so as to not cause irl conflicts.
Mud farm is a good example of a build that uses common little builds. Essentially, you have 1. Dispenser that fires a water bottle when a full block is placed in front of it (mud is not a full block) 2. An item filter that takes out empty bottles from the said dispenser. 3. A dispenser gun that fires when it has items inside (very common in automatic chicken farms) 1 converts dirt to mud, 2 takes out the water bottle and moves it into 3, which fills it and spits out the full bottle. The full bottle is cycled back into 1, using water elevator and hopper or any other means of your choise. That's pretty much the gist of it for the converter and the water bottle filler. You could add to this by running a piston on clock that pushes dirt blocks in front of the dispenser. You could also have dispenser/dropper that throws a dirt block to the player, together with a piston, replenishing your blocks. Add a line of pistons that pushes the mud block line when the line moves and you can make a sheet of mud blocks as a small storage that you can shovel up later. Add full blocks + dripstone below if you want clay. If dirt blocks get past the mud generator, the piston-on-the-clock's clock is too fast. Something slower than 4 redstone ticks is probably good. "Hold right click to place"-AFK should be possible under these pretenses, IMO. You could do a storage sheet/cube, blast chamber or whatever to mine that mud afterwards.
The stamens of the new build really make the flower pop! Your base is impossibly gorgeous. Scar built you your own chestmonster to get eaten by. What a guy. I’d say that experience was good payment (but it’s very good he actually paid you too). I’m really proud of you for tackling redstone and designing your own farm! GG!!
Classic DnD party setup right here you got your Ranger (Druid/Ranger Satyr??) In Gem, your Dwarven Fighter/Paladin in Impulse, and your questionable Human Warlock-esque Scarlet Pearl sorcerer in Pearl-- this has gone from Hermit Craft to a dethrone the king campaign and I am ALL FOR it. Emeralds are a truly awful currency for a server economy in minecraft. They're not finite and anyone can use an anvil so the royal emeralds are not counterfeit proof. You already have multiple counterfeit hot potatoes going round A currency based on the honor system is a bad idea
This was delightful! For the extra room above the mud farm, maybe you could do something similar to like, your beanstalk from Empires? If the building might one day blossom into something different and larger, it could be where the seed/core is hanging out
For the upstairs of the flower/plant: maybe a way to tie in the baking process could be if the flower has alien thermal abilities? So the plant itself cooks the mud, maybe that could give an easier camouflage rather than just something mechanical-looking sitting up there? Or it could be in an accompanying plant with some warmer colors to give the contrast you were talking about?
For the mud farm second floor, perhaps you could place a bee farm, or cosmetic bee queen/hive or something along those lines, since it's in somewhat of a budding flower.
Maybe some wheat growing on the second floor of the mud farm? Needed for packed dirt so makes sense having them close together. It all looks amazing. I can't wait to see more.

You might want to check your shops again, too. Other Hermits have discovered that Ren is now replacing every Diamond he finds in their shops with those things.
@@oldsoldier4209 I think it is worth noting that the hermits have weekly meetings and communicate with each other outside of the server, and while some shenanigans/pranks are secret for the Hermits to discover, bigger lore based matters such as throwing the diamonds into the pit, soup groups resistance of the king, and in relation to your comment: the Royal Emeralds and the king replacing the diamonds with them in shops is all going to be things the hermits have talked about in these meetings and agreed upon so as to not cause irl conflicts.
Mud farm is a good example of a build that uses common little builds. Essentially, you have
1. Dispenser that fires a water bottle when a full block is placed in front of it (mud is not a full block)
2. An item filter that takes out empty bottles from the said dispenser.
3. A dispenser gun that fires when it has items inside (very common in automatic chicken farms)
1 converts dirt to mud, 2 takes out the water bottle and moves it into 3, which fills it and spits out the full bottle. The full bottle is cycled back into 1, using water elevator and hopper or any other means of your choise. That's pretty much the gist of it for the converter and the water bottle filler.
You could add to this by running a piston on clock that pushes dirt blocks in front of the dispenser. You could also have dispenser/dropper that throws a dirt block to the player, together with a piston, replenishing your blocks. Add a line of pistons that pushes the mud block line when the line moves and you can make a sheet of mud blocks as a small storage that you can shovel up later. Add full blocks + dripstone below if you want clay. If dirt blocks get past the mud generator, the piston-on-the-clock's clock is too fast. Something slower than 4 redstone ticks is probably good. "Hold right click to place"-AFK should be possible under these pretenses, IMO. You could do a storage sheet/cube, blast chamber or whatever to mine that mud afterwards.

In Gem, your Dwarven Fighter/Paladin in Impulse, and your questionable Human Warlock-esque Scarlet Pearl sorcerer in Pearl-- this has gone from Hermit Craft to a dethrone the king campaign and I am ALL FOR it. Super excited for the hijinks to come

Emeralds are a truly awful currency for a server economy in minecraft. They're not finite and anyone can use an anvil so the royal emeralds are not counterfeit proof. You already have multiple counterfeit hot potatoes going round

My first impression of your new plant: It looks like the Tree of Dreams in Genshin!
For the upstairs of the flower/plant: maybe a way to tie in the baking process could be if the flower has alien thermal abilities? So the plant itself cooks the mud, maybe that could give an easier camouflage rather than just something mechanical-looking sitting up there? Or it could be in an accompanying plant with some warmer colors to give the contrast you were talking about?

For the mud farm second floor, perhaps you could place a bee farm, or cosmetic bee queen/hive or something along those lines, since it's in somewhat of a budding flower.
