Justin Thanks for some good creek knowledge on golds movement. Your AU rewards show that its not just a secret "Gold Whisper" whistle...🤣🤣 that brings the gold flowing to your sluice, But also a lot of hard fun work. We continue to enjoy your videos. Thank you. Bigfoot is always watching...👀
You guys are killing it for Uwharrie! Low profile vmat works great for indicator mat on the flare. Deep vmat needs much more flow because it is much thicker. I catch most of my gold on the flare. Hope this helps. Heavy pans guys!🙏🍀⛏
@@X4PROSPECTING all in what you like really. I like the indicator because I can snuff out my clean gold while running without mixing it with the rest of the cons when I clean the sluice.. plus It's a super fast way to test around and see right away what's in each shovel.
Looks like you may have picked a good spot.👍 The theory sounds good.👌 Still really like your sluice.🤔😲😁Pretty nice gold in that pan. Thanks for sharing.😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
Would you be interested in rolling with me in the Union county-Mecklenberg county NC area? I've located a few hot spots.....I'm sure you'll like the history. Old mine sites from 1800s early 1900s etc
Insightful vid. There was one done a few back where you were testing clay and in this you mention flood gold. What do you typically dig for in Uwharrie? I tried the clay under a spot where my kid found a picker in the mud, but the clay got us next to nothing. Do you get more from above the clay or in the clay? Is clay really worth it?
That’s where testing comes in play. Sometimes the gold is only on the top layer of the clay and no deep into it. I test pan about every inch I dig into the clay, the test pans will show you how deep to go. Sometimes clay is 100% worth it, sometimes it isn’t.
@@X4PROSPECTING Thanks for the info. You seem to have a pretty good take at the end of the day. Where do you think most of your gold comes from, the clay or above it?
No, not every stream is in a gold bearing area. Check google to see if gold has ever been found near the creek you are prospecting and if so, there could be gold in that creek
A young man like yourself should be able to do 75 panns in a day, you did 9 half buckets about 2 gallons two pans per bucket about 18 pans, you need to step it up young man, you should be running 40 buckets in one day ,full buckets, that's one ton, could you please put a little more effort into it next time.

I agree,
Yeah, I just prefer to run my box without the indicator mat, I can see the gold if I set my sluice up just right.

The top clay layer, it’s usually never really deep in the clay. Maybe the first half inch or so.
