G'day Paul, l have for Boxing Day and today been serving bikes for the rides coming this new year, hope your Cubs run well when you take them out for a ride, cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
hi, paul to stop fuel splashing out of cap, I cut out bottom of 375ml aluminium drink can to suit hole size then put a hole in the middle of it and place it under tank cap. works a treat.
If Scrambles cub is running batteryless can the same system be replicated on Squeaky to get rid of that rather incongruous batt? Perhaps the addition of lighting makes a difference.
Squeaky indeed! I had lots of grief with that one running without a battery over the years, quite a few of my videos follow my progress and eventual success in eliminating a strange and annoying, power sapping snatching it had under load until fitting a battery put things right. The lights were bright without a battery and having them switched on helped ease the problem. That said, I would think a Powerbox as fitted to the Scrambles Cub would probably let it run ok with lights, but the battery is convenient, especially for night time riding, and it gives a bit of getting home time if the charging side were to fail for any reason.
They should be the same, unless I didn't get the frame straightening I had to do on the Scrambles Cub quite right, but it all seemed to measure up right after I completed the work.
Is there any difference in the angle of the frame neck (is that called rake angle ?)...or the lower and upper triple clamps, overall fork length, or wheelbase between the two?
There shouldn't be, but as I said in a reply to a similar comment, 'They should be the same, unless I didn't get the frame straightening I had to do on the Scrambles Cub quite right, but it all seemed to measure up right after I completed the work.'
@@paulhenshaw4514 Thanks Paul! My question wasn't meant to be critical of your frame straightening job...I was curious if TRIUMPH made design changes between the two models. Best to you from the USA!
Hi Paul, I hope you had a great Christmas, I was just wondering, what’s the difference between a BSA 250 and a Triumph 200, and would you put a BSA 250 engine in a Triumph Cub? Or would that be a waste of time? Thanks. 😎🏍👍😁🎉
To my mind, although the overall gearing is numerically the same, the trials one is not under geared, but the scrambler is (for road use) because of the peakier, revvier nature of its engine. Once on the go it will pull a higher gear, if it threatens to come off the boil, the very close third will soon let it back up there.
Thanks Paul.

Por 15 is a brilliant tank sealer.
If I had access to your roads & sufficient storage space,I would be in trouble!👍

Front fork rake angle looks different on each of this cubs. Unless it's the photo shot making them look dissimilar.

Hi and thanks. A BSA 250 engine looks quite similar to the Cub engine, but it is quite a lot bigger and would not fit.
@ thanks Paul. 😎🏍😁👍

Good point.
