- Journeyman Riding - Account bound mount (ONLY if you don't own any collector's edition expansion or supporter pack that includes a mount) - Bag space until you hit the cap. In that order. The rest from the store is subjective and it doesn't play any major role to your journey.
Gollum, my guy! Another banger! Thank you for this. I've been playing seriously for a yr now, am a VIP, and these suggestions were great for me. Thank you!
There are a couple of permanent exp enhancers in the game, that I know of. One is a pocket item from a merchant in Archet right by the entrance to town and costs some mithril coins. The other I got from the LOTRO store and is a back item. The exp gain stacks with them. Given the level cap is 150 I bought them for one of my characters just to speed up the process a bit. I love this game and the whole leveling process though so I didn’t want to just buy a valar token and skip levels. Other than that, I recommend bag space, universal crafting tool, 78% mount speed (account wide) and personally I like to have a lot of shared storage and wardrobe space. Obviously the last 2 aren’t really important but I find making different cosmetic armor sets and changing my appearance from time to time makes it feel a little fresher and breaks some of the monotony that long leveling processes can take. And the shared storage to send over items for alts that I come across in the world.
Great video and breakdown. You spend a LOT of time playing the inventory management game and traveling. Anything that helps ease that is huge from my perspective. Also that crafting tool was instantly a favorite, swapping every time was tedious. -Gollum
watchin the new LOTR series on Amazon (which is fantastic by the way) makes me wanna play. I think Im gonna sub and get all the new content. Im still only level; 65 in Mirkwood though so is it even worth it to sub now? Or should I wait until my level is higher? Just wondeirng what I will get out of subbing now. Any help please? Im out of the country so its just kind of a pain getting money in my US account. I also feel like its taking me a while to level up. Ive been in Moria and Mirkwood for like 10 years lol of ocurse Ive been playing off an don but I wanna play the expansions and whatever dungeons and raids come wih them
Being a VIP gives you access to some Quality of Life Features if you are actively playing which I would double check on their website if you want it. Other than that you don't gain too much and can just continue Free To Play for now if you want to.
Can you maybe in a short cover the Mithril Coin? They come up so often in the gameplay (when you die, travel to a quest etc) are they worth spending coins on?
Mithril Coins are a luxury Item, that's completely up to you. They can save you time, teleport to a quest location , revive, travel faster etc. It's a skip mechanic for money most of the time.
I wouldn't buy any traveling to bree skill, you can get that for free once you max the Bree reputation, you get that in the reputation district in bree for like 50 barrow coins which you will have plenty once you finish the barrow section of the storyline.
Right, I think Men can't get that though right, instead they have a Racial Skill but you also have to grind that - regardless I think this teleport is so cheap that it's a great early alternative!
My tops to begin are journeyman riding, an extra milestone, expedient or higher travel, and large crafting carry all (and others) followed by storage in wardrobe and shared vault. I have one toon that uses stone of the tortoise in a group, but I really don't mind playing overleveled. Gollum my dear.

- Bag space until you hit the cap.

Gollum. Really good explaination video for new players for what to
Buy. I wish it had existed when I started playing Lotro.
