Hey Night Shift, I've been waiting for the new upload (so you can actually see this without scrolling thru thousands of messages lol), you've been one hell of an inspiration to me, considering I watched your channel back on the Zimmerit video, and I started making scale armor models since then. You've been a big help in learning the dynamics of bases for me, plus I even took your ideas on armor models to my new 40K Armor models I got in for my Imperial fists army! Just wanted to take the time to say thank you for the BIG inspiration you gave me sir. Keep up the incredible work!
Another excellent video, Martin. The cracking on the stucco was unbelievably satisfying to watch you make and also very satisfying in the final result! Cheers
Honestly, your ability to mimic the colours and textures of the real world is supernatural. I never get tired of watching you doing something that looks like a huge mistake only for you to incorporate into the realism as easy as pie. Fantastic stuff.
I absolutely love your art and videos. Every time I hear "My Friends!" I smile, knowing I'm in for a great time learning new techniques and being entertained by your commentary. Your first framed diorama video was perfect timing for me because I was working on the brick facade for a Diagon Alley Book Nook, I didn't have any Ancient Ink, but did find some Relatively Old Ink which worked acceptably well. The results weren't up to your skill level, but still miles above anything I'd done before, so THANK YOU!
Hi Martin, You are the best modeller I know, so far, but this is an other level and it belongs in an art gallery, I'm glad that you signed it. Respect to the artist
Literally watching the first few seconds I was like “is he green screening himself into his project?” Then I just realized how accurate and realistic your work is. You’re amazing holy crap!
I love your channel! You have amazing skills and have really inspired me (and taught me a lot) in making my own dioramas and backgrounds for diecast cars. I have made a couple of old barns to display some old “barn finds” diecast that I have customized. I am currently building an old gas station and have used a lot of your techniques. Your channel is what You Tube needs more of, an artisan sharing his skills and his passion with others. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
I don't think this man knows how good he is. Dude, you are one of the best I have ever seen, your subtle style on top of the technique makes some of the best and most unique paintwork. Keep going, I can't wait to see where you're at in ten years!
Best late Christmas present is a nightshift upload. Brilliant work as usual, keep it up. I got into the hobby because of you and you continue to serve as an inspiration for me
Looks amazing Uncle Night shift! You are an absolute must watch channel if we are talking model wise, maybe even just a must watch channel even if you aren’t interested in modelling, and your past facades are so inspiring Thanks so much!
Every time I sit and watch Uncle Night Shift's vids I always learn something new. You really know how to make things come alive and make it look their real-life counterpart. Like an old add said 'Is it live or is it Memorex' 😊
Really enjoy how this channel is evolving. I actually enjoy the creation of the buildings more than the models. Models are very awesome as well. Hoping to see either an armored car, half track or even a self propelled artillery vehicle someday.
Hi Nightshift, this video, and the last one are great, I mean brilliant tutorial videos, and step by step, to making great dioramas, there are many books on making fronts of buildings, but a tutorial video is even better, keep up the great work, looking forward to your next creation
Absolut amazing tips and tricks. I recomend for all the technic of the ink wash. Its makes an incredible cool and realistic look. You can make a ton of wash out of one small bottle of black india ink for example. The ink is waterproof and you only need a small amount of drops of ink with much more water depends of the look you want. My india ink is from Daler Rowney Black India Ink. Best greetings from germany and have a lot of fun with modelling and crafting realistic building facades.😀
Hello Night Shift, over the past years i have built armor models, you gave me inspiration for some armor models, like the tiger F13 video. your videos made me learn more stuff to use for armor modelling! i just want to say you have been a BIG help to me whenever i don't know what to do, i just want to say thank you so much for your help,I love your videos and i will and always enjoy your old and new armor modelling videos. i hope your having a great time with... whatever your doing right now. your T29E3 video was one of my favourite. and im quite like you! i enjoy soviet armor! though sometimes i do russian armor... but it's the same thing anyway any tank that you built, painted and weathered reminds me that i can watch your videos to regain my confidence and learn other methods! you are my favourite armor modelling youtuber! because your diorama's sometimes even give me confidence to try and make one myself! and i know my comment has now become very long but i just want to say i love your work and i will always respect your builds! my respect to you can't be explained by words. and once again, Thank you so much for your HUGE help to me i put my heart and feelings to this comment. have a good day my friend!
When using a sponge on a large surface like this one, it's a great idea to rotate the sponge a little with every dab, just gently roll it between your fingers. This way, you don't get repetitive patterns and replicated dots, and as such, makes it more realistic and organic.
your style and structure is phominal, I am an HO scale train modeler and am really keen on trying some of techniques on this scale, thank you for the inspiration !!!
i really love these projects, complete with the themed openings. your work is so inspiring! your teeny tiny textures and details are like an i-spy book of things to look for. i really love watching these.
It's so cool you turned to more scratchbuilding. It's so much more inspiring than what you did before - though that was already excellent work. But in the end you were always limited to assembling prefabricated tanks. But this is definitely a big step forward!
Fabulous...I am binge watching your videos...I make 1/12 scale dolls house furniture n dioramas. Just started using the high density foam for bricks etc. I am hooked.Thankyou😊
yo nightshift! you inspired me to try armour! i think itll be nice without all the masking troubles of airplanes so thats nice! VERY NICE TO HAVE SUCH A TALENTED MODELER FROM SLOVAKIA❤
Anyone in the US using the pink XPS foam find the Tamiya putty melts the foam. I've experimented and so far a couple coats of Vallejo Ultra Matt Polyurethane Varnish brushed on 24 hours apart to let cure between coats(and flooding the cracks) dries with zero remaining residue and is sealing the surface from the Tamiya putty. I'm going to try some 30 minute epoxy resin next so I can have a harder, more protected surface and also be able to work on the project in 30 minutes rather than 48 hours. Also, cheap airbrush cleaner works to clean the putty up from brush/cup so I'm trying that as a thinner for the putty next.
Hello and I’ve been thinking about you doing a challenge were you would be painting a cheap model with Unicol (Unikolky) colors to an absolutely astonishing model . Love to see you do that ;-)
You're an inspiration mate. I've just got my own place with my own room for modeling and I'm so keen to set up a new desk and jump back into my kits :) thank you
Hello & good morning, just flicking through my emails & came across an sales advertising from AK & thought hooo that looks familiar & remembered your tutorial on this subject. Great idea & allows us to practice our own painting & weathering. All in one box 1 Charvins Facade. A thought, though, wouldn't be great if the box it is packaged in could be used as a wet pallet & therefore be re used again & again. Love the channel.
Great job. I love watching these. Looking forward to the next. I'm making dioramas myself now. There big, 1/12 scale figures, structures, and vehicles. I've learn so much from you and I watched other people but love your techniques the best.
Superb work. Truly inspirational. I am just getting started on armour modelling, having modelled aircraft for several years. I use your videos as tutorials. Great work, my friend!
Looks great as always and I look forward to the next project. Your videos are great inspiration to me as an amateur modeler as you always explain what you're doing and why. Great stuff.
Incredible realism on what you put your mind into. Outstanding work! After your very first ink wash, it occurred to me that you could also go in the direction of a black and white, or "grey scale", finish versus adding colors. I look forward to your next project!

I am right there with you man, I've been following this channel for a couple of years now and I feel like I am always learning something new.
I'd love to see Night Shift paint a 40k tank!
Agreed
I hope not a primaris tank tho.
@@crispijnvansas You'd be relieved, i finished my IF's and I'm working on my necron army lol
After each layer, I think "this is so realistic, what more can he do?" And then you make it look even more realistic. Well done!
Another excellent video, Martin. The cracking on the stucco was unbelievably satisfying to watch you make and also very satisfying in the final result! Cheers
The black ink adds some amazing effects.....something I'm going to have to try myself 👍
I instantly thougt about some burned building for a diorama.
Always a good day when Night Shift uploads :D
I love the little 3D pictures. Absolutely fantastic what you have created here again. Thank you for the detailed demonstration. Greetings Tino
Honestly, your ability to mimic the colours and textures of the real world is supernatural. I never get tired of watching you doing something that looks like a huge mistake only for you to incorporate into the realism as easy as pie. Fantastic stuff.
The window bricks are amazing.
There’s a reason why you have so many positive comments, you really know your stuff and it’s a pleasure to watch you! 👍👍👍
This had me gripped - layer by layer - a true piece of art lovingly created
these irl intros in front of beautiful reference spots are such an awesome evolution to the channel

Only Night Shift could make urban blight so visually interesting.
Simple way, but incredible result. Just fantastic! Thank you for this video!

Thank you , Uncle Martin .
🐺 Loupis Canis .
The way you traced the brick outline onto the styrofoam and leveled it down was sooooo satisfying. Gosh you make me want to try this stuff
I’ve been hooked on your channel for several years now. Really loving these smaller projects.
Very impressive. Mind blowing finished product.
Thank you so much for for sharing your talent with us.
Nice job.
I love how you keep coming up with fresh ideas bringing something new to the table. Keep up the amazing work!
Enjoy the narrative, really enhances the experience. Thanks.
Stunning work as always. Love your construction, painting and weathering skills and the approachable and guiding way you present them.
Never thought I'd want to make a facade like this - super cool, seems like a great way to work on techniques too! Thanks for your videos, as always.
I hope you're feeling much better Martin!! Always happy to see your amazing art!!!
Epic craft!!
Every time I sit and watch Uncle Night Shift's vids I always learn something new. You really know how to make things come alive and make it look their real-life counterpart.
Like an old add said 'Is it live or is it Memorex' 😊
Simply beautiful. And refreshing between armor buildings 👌
Jesus Christ you're so bloody talented! Perfect at model building and your English is better than 90% of us Brits!!!
Really beautiful work and I love your enthusiasm for the craft.
Man!!! You are the best
Please forget about any tanks and just make buildings
No words can express how good you are
Looks beautiful!!! ❤😊❤
You worked through the disasters perfectly!!!
Looking forward to seeing more 😊😊😊
Really enjoy how this channel is evolving. I actually enjoy the creation of the buildings more than the models. Models are very awesome as well. Hoping to see either an armored car, half track or even a self propelled artillery vehicle someday.
Лайк не глядя! Завтра посмотрю!
Outstanding Martin!!! Wonderfully done model. You're a true 3D artist.
Awesome work!

I have been waiting for a upload for a week now and i love every one you make, could you make a Saint-Chamond diorama to add to your other ww1 tanks.

I am very impressed again. It looks so realistic what you conjure up.

Awesome facade sir. I love all the detail and colours.

Looking forward to build it.

Your talent has no limits. Wow.
Encouraging. These techniques excellent.
A realistic and outstaing work as usual...Thumbs up!!
Incredible realism on what you put your mind into. Outstanding work! After your very first ink wash, it occurred to me that you could also go in the direction of a black and white, or "grey scale", finish versus adding colors. I look forward to your next project!
Amazing detail. Well done.
It's lovely work Martin. No chipping involved.
Do a Range Tank.
Love your videos! It's always so relaxing to see/hear you work🙂 All th best!
