エヴァ終わって一番絶望したのはもう一流のスタッフが集まって作ったこういう無茶苦茶だけどどこか説得力ある巨大ロボの戦闘シーンの新しいものは見れなくなるんだなって所。ロボアニメの新作とかはこれからも出るかもだけどここまで人と金が集まったすごいのは中々作れないだろうな…

異物感があるのはわかるけど明確な目的があって登場してるからまぁしゃあない

Well there were more Battleships built than just the Iowa Class. They could have easily used the USS Texas and other WW2 ships.

The barrels of her machine guns melting and breaking is actually pretty realistic.
This is why in, real life, we shoot machine guns in bursts.
エヴァンゲリオンが構えている機関砲は、戦艦伊勢に積むような主砲を連射するようなもの。
動画の中では、必死になって射撃しまくっていたら、砲身が真っ赤に焼けて破損して使用不能になっています。
だから、戦艦の主砲の寿命は200発なのか。 過剰な連射で砲身が真っ赤に焼ける点も現実的でいい。
戦艦の主砲とか関係なく銃火器の弾薬は火薬の爆発で弾飛ばしてるのでその熱が溜まりすぎるとぶっ壊れますね
ライフルでもめっちゃ撃てば同じことができるらしい
Still love the sound design for the positron, most scifi would just have some looping sound increase frequency but this one clearly represents 'internal energizing of components', 'plasma-like energy converging in some area' through that sort of reverb fade in
They still used the iconic angel eye laser sound
I think the positron cannon was made to copy the lasers of the angels, and I like to think that they have the same concept and that's why it's the same sound
@@deihartConsidering it seems like the 44B power supply evas have an artificial S² engine it probably works off the same principles as ramiel's laser.

そんで八号機とマリ姉めっちゃ強い！！ あれだけの敵をたった一機で相手取り、全て倒すとは凄すぎる。 そんで敵の決戦兵器もぶっ壊してるし笑 エッフェル塔もぶっ壊したけど
本編は結構長いのに上手く編集してある、センスに感心しました。。

I love how the Rebuilds get progressively more insane with their concepts, especially the weaponry WILLE uses. Using ships as shields and missiles is just insanity in it's best form.
This scene (especially the part featuring 44B and 4444C) is easily one of the best battle scenes in the Rebuild continuity: Shiro Sagisu’s soundtrack also sold it really well.
What’s your top battle scenes from the Rebuild franchise?
The redone Ramiel battle - the main elements are essentially the same, melting mountains with its beam, but the way it changes shape and folds in on itself gives it the feel of an entity for whom three dimensions are merely part of where it's existing
Ramiel, Eva 02 piloted by Mari against Zeruel, Shinji vs Zeruel, all of Asuka a the end of 3.0, THIS ONE, and you gotta pay respect for the meme battle between Shinji and Gendo tbh

I'm not sure what to think of the battle scenes in rebuilds, especially 3 and 4. On the other hand, they are cool and imaginative, but on the other, they are sometimes really difficult to follow and nauseating at worst. Like watching a swarm of bees battle it out.
I honestly think any battle scene in the original series triumphs all battles in the rebuilds combined. They just had so much 'punch' in them, where as the rebuilds feel like bunch of toy robots fighting.
it's like Anno watched too much Michael Bay Transformers. Bigger, louder and more visually busy isn't always better.

I agree. They deserve credit for the creativity of their designs and the execution of the animation, but like you said it can be way over the top sometimes.
It's the combination of excessive visual noise and a very low frame rate.
全く同感です。旧作の戦闘シーンの方がリアリティがありました。アニメーション技術としては進歩しているのかも知れないけど、まるでゲーム画面の様で重みが無い印象を受けます。

mari and asuka could easily beat Evas with their skills plus Gendo probably opted for a more expeditive measure using positron and swarm if he used swarm in order to lock on the target then shoot from behind the screen he could ve end this positron canon has a ridiculously long range he should ve opted for that issue instead of going close range

Ive noticed something, a lot of good anime tend to have their japanese voice actors speak foreign languages. And its no different with Evangelion, both iterations. And its always so incredibly weird as a native english speaker to listen to people who dont speak english pronounce english.
Don't think that everyone on this planet will be good at English. There are more people who live their lives and die without knowing a second foreign language.

You know how the creator (can't remember his name sorry) basically wrote evangelion on his life? I'm assuming Rei, Asuka, Mitsato, and Mari are based on women in his life. What if the Angel are based on his own problems or addictions? Like the times Shinji wouldn't battle some of the Angels cause of whatever reason until Rei or Asuka was there. BUT that's just my perspective since I never wanted to face or overcome my depression until my family and friends helped me being my moral support. And even then it was hard for me to fight my problems because I didn't even want to be alive. Sometimes they'd get frustrated because I'd always feel sorry for myself but they'd always try to help my struggles.
