Doug, Funny 😂 that kid with the white hoodie, flipped you the “bird” ! …Great video! Thank you for all the information provided in the video of places, maps, music used etc! 👍
I didn't notice at the time, but when I was editing the video I saw the boy flip me the bird. Pretty funny. It happens quite a bit, actually. The kids see it in many TV shows and movies, so they love to do it when they see a foreigner. They don't mean it, of course. It's just something they do for fun, particularly if a camera is running.
That happened a few times that night. The problem is that the rubber coating on the jaws of my GoPro Jaws Flex Clamp has worn out. The rubber is so old that it became brittle and it all broke off. So there is no longer any kind of rubber grip on the teeth. I don't think I included it in the video, but when I was filming myself eating sate padang, the GoPro fell twice from a plastic chair and hit the ground hard. The second time, it hit hard enough to shut off the GoPro, and the file got corrupted. The GoPro was able to repair it, but it was a lot of trouble to have to keep an eye on the GoPro and lunge for it every time it looked like it was about to fall again. And the GoPro tilted out of place on that scooter ride constantly. Luckily, it couldn't actually fall off. The Jaws were jammed through a basket on the front. So even though the teeth couldn't grip, the camera couldn't actually fall to the ground. It just fell forward and out of position and started filming the ground. 🤪
Cc when I was a kid I went on a ferris wheel type ride with individual closed cabs. The ferris wheel went around and the cabs spun upside down. I got so sick that I have never even looked at carnival rides since :)
Luckily, I never had that kid of traumatic experience as a kid. I remember there was a travelling carnival that came to my hometown once a year, and it was always a big deal to go there. And they had the classic Zipper ride. That one always seemed the wildest to me. You got jerked around and spun around upside down quite hard in that ride. It always seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. But I never felt ill from the motion or anything like that. So I continued to love carnival rides. The biggest problem with them (the few times I've gone) is that the ones at big amusement parks have such long lineups. Even the best roller coasters in the world can't help but be a bit anticlimactic when you stood in line for an hour for a 1-minute experience.
I had experienced that pirate boat. In our Myanmar carnival, the boat is exactly the same like that. There is no guaranty. I heard one incident at Pagu city in Myanmar,, About two girls were injured coz collapsed the staircase of that boat. Anyway. this is a rare event. Your video make me happy. I wish I could take part in that carnival. 😊
I can only imagine. I'd love to see video of that pirate boat ride in India. 🤪 Thank you so much for the kind words, especially about the BTS videos. They're an unusual style of video for TH-cam. I'm very aware of that. 😁 But I really enjoy making them.
Last time have a daily ferry from my place port klang to tanjung balai. So i quit often go here for a short vacation. Since covid the service was stopped and havent recover yet. Its hard for me to travel to port dickson and heading here. Hope the services recover soon. Port klang - Tanjung balai.
I remember that ferry from Port Klang. I took that same ferry to Tanjung Balai and back a couple of times. But, as you said, they stopped running during the pandemic. While I was in Kuala Lumpur, I took the KTM down to Port Klang just so that I could check for myself. And when I got there, the international ferry docks looked closed, and some people told me that the ferries weren't operating anymore. That's why I ended up going from and to Port Dickson this time. It's not as convenient as Port Klang, but at least it is a possibility. I hope the ferries in Port Klang start running again, too. It's so easy to get there from Kuala Lumpur on the KTM.
There used to be a ktm service between seremban and port Dickson, which is just a short walk to the ferry jetty. But that got terminated too. No demand.
I was surprised, too. There was so much sugar it felt like I was chewing and crunching through it like sand. I suppose I could have scraped off all the extra sugar, but I ate it all anyway. I guess I was hungry. 🙂

Cc, in India i went on the pirate boat, a lot more sketchy than the one in your video. Love your videos and the behind the scenes even more.

Hello! I like Tanjung Balai. It is a fun place to visit, and the people there are very friendly and welcoming.

My city
The boat ride is very unsafe and dangerous for kids. They are not even securely seated.
