Yes it helps reduce oil stains especially while deep frying etc... But chimney will get dirty eventually we need to clean

Chimney should cover gas stove length so only it will absorb all moisture during cooking. 2 burner- 60 Cm and 3 or 4 burner 90cm chimney should be used for effective absorption.
