She is literally singing about the different emotions people go through when they lost someone they love. The denial, the anger, the forgetting, but then eventually the memories and finally the acceptance.
I remember when this song came out. Unfortunately it was the same time my first husband was killed in an auto accident in 1997. Song still brings back the emotions from that time.
Jesus... I'm so sorry. I can't imagine that kind of pain. I've lost a parent, and while painful, it's something completely different losing who was supposed to be your best friend for the rest of your life.
It's a terrible event to experience for any person in life to lose their dear one but to lose in a way you least expected. I hope this song and times healed you enough to find acceptance perhaps solace even. But I still wish to give you my condolences and happiness if possible.
It's official: Billy is falling in-love with Céline Dion. I recommend watching her perform "River Deep, Mountain High" from her Vegas residency. It is incredible.
Someday when I die and go to heaven, I imagine Celine singing with the angels. This is one of those few songs that might be even more impressive if you find a concert version. Celine is one of the GOATs.
To the question what it would be like to be in the studio with Céline: Probably really funny, she is really down to earth and she has great one-liners😀
Written by Jim Steinman, who wrote lots of Meat Loaf songs + Holding Out For A Hero and Total Eclipse of the Heart to boot! The backing vocal style is a common Jim Steinman style as well.
I love Total Eclipse of Heart and Holding out for a Hero. I have loved those songs since I was 9. I have love this song since I was 3. I am almost 29 now.
Very few ppl voices take u places the moment u hear their voice and im telling u celine dion was one of those voices.... She made me feel like i was outside in a old country town my body is the harp instrument and this unseen wind is playing my strings so angelically and peacefully.... Kml
She is truly incredible. I have seen her twice in concert and it’s an experience, for sure. She’s really funny too. You should check out her song Courage. I think it’s on her most recent album. Pretty sure its about the loss of her husband. BYSE will definitely come out.
I feel so thrilled to get 4 Celine Dion reactions!!! These videos just made my day so much better! Thank you for appreciating her talent, she is truly one of the legends of music. Please do more Celine PLEASE! Loved these sooo much. React to "Because You Loved me" and "To Love You More" and" If You Asked Me To"
Hey Billy. It makes sense you like this. Jim Steinman is the songwriter. He's the same guy who wrote all the Meat Loaf stuff you like. The guy is amazing.
@@TimedRevolver The truly funny part is that Celene's version is actually a cover. The songwriter created a group called Pandora's Box who recorded the song years before Celene. Their version is virtually identical. If you didn't know better, you would think it was the same recording.
Its funny u all mention meatloaf cause i was going to tell him this song has the same style and vibe as I’d Do Anything for Love". I didnt know they collaborated with same writer.
The best part was when you said she had feeling like you were running around in nightgown. You’d make a fabulous celine in a windswept nightie but she makes us all feel that way. Emotion and heart in powerfully belted out lyrics hits everyone the same. Glad you loved it is a fav of mine.
Billy, fun fact. Ryan Reynolds is canadien & loves Celine, anyway after the death of her husband & brother within a week of eachother Celine was very depressed. So Ryan pleaded with her to sing s song for Deadpool 2 & she did. The song is Ashes-Celine Dion.
Yep her voice elicits emotion so strongly, one of the few singers that can truly bring the full true power of music to me, the ability to move someone. She brings tears to my eyes just through her ability to carry emotions...just wow.
There is a video of her recording in the studio (I think it was for a different song) and the video engineer asked her to move away from the mic a bit when she was belting because the sound she was making was so strong that it was interfering with the mic. I saw her sing this song live from the front row and it was unbelievable.
Never seen the video but have heard the song. Just like I would hear it sometimes it would have me tearing up just like now Billy:''( I told you Billy I'm a walking teardrop
Love your reactions!! Hope you continue on the "Celine" journey. Maybe check out All By Myself, Think Twice, Because You Loved Me next. Oh, and one of my favourites The Reason recording session!!
Celine can make you emotional in 2 notes. The song written for her niece that passed away is beautiful and sad at the same time. I like the French version better, which is called Vole or in English: Fly.
This song was written by the late great Jim Steinman. A musical genius; giving us the iconic Bat Out of Hell album sung by the incredible Meatloaf. Meatloaf also covered this song many years later and I believe it is as good as Celines version. Jim Steinman also wrote Total Eclipse of the Heart sung by Bonnie Tyler, and Making Love Out of Nothing at All sung by Air Supply. But most of Jim’s songs were sung by Meatloaf, the were great friends and absolute spectacular dynamite together. I was a teen when Bat Out of Hell came out and loved it. Then my children was raised on it loving it, and now my Grandchildren are teens and have been raised with it, they also love it. Jim is gone from Earth, but his music will live on for many generations.
“Where does my heart beat now” Celine and “Tell him” Celine Dion feat Barbara Streisand Theres another singer from Canada 🇨🇦 that you will love for sure is Lara Fabian. You have to check her out. She sings french, italian and english.
Great REACTION! So glad you have finally found Celine. Three videos….”When I Need You”(live version) “Simply the Best” (HD Version), and of course “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You” (live version 1995-newer HD version! Amazing!!❤❤❤❤
@@StudeSteve62 The live was nice...but the studio version picks up some of the really subtle nuances of Barry, Robin and Maurice's harmonies. Barry was the first person I can remember who could "sing in a whisper", that BYSC talks about in "My Heart Will Go On". It took til the mid 80's (I was 14ish) for me to appreciate what the Bee Gees brought to the table.
She was 12 when she start her career.. and René Angelil (husband and manager) said the reason he knew she had more than à voice.. wé can feel what she sing
You should react to “Because you loved me.” by Celine. Even though it is a love song, it automatically made me think of my mama when I heard it, still does.
She was the last concert I saw before the pandemic. To this day she is utter perfection. Timing, pitch, everything. I have never been more impressed by a live singer.
Yes please!! Celine Dion is fabulous, so I hope you keep going with reacting to her. Btw, I absolutely love your videos, and the emotions that you get caught up in. It makes me appreciate them even more than I already do. I honestly hope, wish, and pray you find that special forever someone that makes you happy, and that compliments you as a person perfectly.
Big music producer David Foster said, working with Celine is amazing. She is an extremely hard worker, but most of all, the most respectful, hes worked with. She would raise her hand and ask if it was ok to take a bathroom break 🤣 One of his favorites to work with.
Thanks for the upload billy I love celine and this is my favorite song of hers so I think that earns you my sub would love to see you react to her song I SURRENDER

She's such a legend! Didn't know there was a remastered version!!! Wonder if there are more. Great reaction. It's soooo hard to not be pulled in by her voice. 🥰
She is literally singing about the different emotions people go through when they lost someone they love. The denial, the anger, the forgetting, but then eventually the memories and finally the acceptance.
Well said could not have expressed it better myself with words.
exactly
This can also apply to heartbreak
Fr I feel like my heart got ripped out of my chest and then thrown around like a toy.
@@mo6live Exactly. It's not uncommon for someone who's gone through a tough break-up to go through the stages of grief.
Billy, we all feel like we're running barefoot in a mansion with the flowy nightgown on. 😉🤭😆
🤔 Running in a castle in Czechia! Not a mansion! Céline doesn't do things on small scale!
🤣🤣🤣

Funny you say that, since Meatloaf would go on to cover this song with Marion Raven from the duo M2M. And her vocals on it are insane.
