I love how after the initial hostility in s2, next thing that happened was El walking up to Max to ask her for advice about Mike, and Max's response was to basically go: "You know what, she's a weirdo, but she's MY weirdo now"
Tbh I didn't understand Max's petty toward Mike when I first watched season 3...until I did a series rewatch before season 4- the perfect payback: stealing your girlfriend and being besties. I know Mike was cold because he was depressed and El was jealous, but I'm still so amused by the end result. Female friendships are precious.
