Fantastic trip down memory lane. Many a family holiday in one of these. We had no mains electricity in ours though. Where the push button spotlight is in this one, we had a single gas mantle. We also had a gas heater next to the wardrobe. There was no light in our washroom (or running water) and we only had one electric strip light above the kitchen area, which was powered from the car battery (via the tow bar hookup).
I've got a dozen or so Caravan magazines from the 1970s and if memory serves me right, the Europa was one up from the Sprite and just below the Eccles in the CI range. Which would explain why it was so well fitted out. For those viewers with an ABI Monza, the equivalent model was the Ace.
Hi long time no speak hope all is well, do you still have the brochure for the Europa as I have a back door version with a metal folding out bed at the side of the loo metal kitchen and front seat and I’m struggling to find the weight of the caravan? I just wondered if it might be in your brochure, hope you may be able to help thank you very much bless you, Darren.
@@victoryvintagecaravans1294 hi Darren, sorry to say that this van was sold by my friend a few years ago and if there was a brochure it would have gone with the van. Have you had a look on eBay for an old brochure or it’s worth asking on some Facebook vintage caravan groups. Best of luck.
@@victoryvintagecaravans1294 glad to hear you found it! All good here thank you, currently working on our bay camper. Will be updating the channel soon :)
Interesting van tour. Slightly hard to hear you though as your voice was battling with the music - made me feel a little exhausted (unless that is just me) =)
I was a little worried as it sounded ok on edit and when checking before uploading. I will make sure it’s lower next time. Thank you for your feedback. Always welcomed as still learning :)
Seaside housewife I watched this video for the third time ;) and still enjoy it soo much how’s the sprites going? I have just figured how to use the TH-cam messaging thing so can try to send you the pictures instead of over Instagram! I have recently come across a cute ci sprite 1977 alpine type C in my area and am trying to get hold of it as it’s been vandalised a little bit and want to rescue it ! Wish me luck! Have a good day!
Thats our very first caravan happy memories
