That's not a "turn and burn". That was a takeoff. A "turn and burn" is when a military jet lands after a mission and is reloaded with fuel and bombs and immediately takes off again. The aircraft was "turned" into a mission ready jet in shortest amount of time possible sometimes without even shutting down the engines.
Why? Delta doesn't fly -700's. The -700 is actually the safest 737 variant and the 2nd most fuel efficient of the class. Plus the entire aircraft is configuration compatible with all other NG's.
I like this flight. The majority of passengers who can stop talking for a while and let others enjoy the sounds around them .
