  • After servicing this 1982 Maxon built set for an end user, it was tie to o an 'on the air' test.
TX was 4W, RX around 0.45uV for 12dB SINAD
As usual, Mr Chippie drove along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route. He stopped at the 5-mile point where we conducted a test on low power, which, on this radio is adjustable & measured 400mW.
Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we use in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.

Following on from a previous comment on here, Midland had some really nice looking radios..... especially the 100m and 150m FCC AM radios ...theres something about them but these radios are just the business....nice looking, functional and sounding god on rx and tx ....nice road test once again..👍

Where do you source your Midland parts from? I'm searching for two RF chokes with Midland part number 13-178203.

I source mainly from stock having been 40+ years in the electronics service business, specialising in 2-way radio.
As you are in the USA all the models here are of course totally different even though case styles may look the same. I think you will be best off hoping to buy a scrap set to recover parts from.
I take it that those parts required are for a USA version of the Midland 3001?
